This^ Most reports I have seen claim that they had the better of the second half, but it was really only towards the end that they applied any continuous pressure. I keep seeing claims that Spurs deserved something from the game, but that is frankly bollocks.
The commentators mentioning this rally grates me. It's another thing that's be happening for at just two sessions but they've only recently realised it's to do with defending corners
This is because of their defending positions on corners isn't it? They only revert when it's safe to do so.
What I noticed was different from the usual filling in when we are not in possession. Wijnaldum was sitting in there when we had the ball, I pointed it out to my kid and he was oh yeah why is he sat there. Personally I think it was to deal with the late runs from Alli, he did it all 1st half and then stopped in the 2nd half.
Tbh I've only noticed it when they are trying to get back to their 'own ' sides. Moral of the story - be versatile.
'Thanks for everything' - Momo Sissoko's message to LFC supporters Momo Sissoko has paid tribute to 'all the love' he received from Liverpool supporters throughout his career after announcing his retirement from the game. The 34-year-old has made the decision to hang up his boots, having represented a host of clubs during his time in football, including Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder made 87 appearances across three seasons for the Reds between July 2005 and January 2008, and was a popular figure among those in the stands. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/382724-momo-sissoko-message-to-lfc-fans
Also the "sitter" that was "harder to miss" was actually less than 0.5 xG People exaggerate their chances against us because they are so few they all seem significant... "if every forward pass was a goal we would have got at least a point"
It means there was less than 50% chance of it going in, not even taking into account Lo Celso is a below average footballer without a single goal in the PL
