Only if he's got the FM Stats to back it up. I won't accept anything less. Ronaldo has been very poor!
I'd expect nothing less from Sterling. Plus his own all seeing all knowing eye. I'm confident. Ronnies ace.
My point is that there hasn't been a stand out team in the tournament so far and England should have performed far better then they did. Given the draw we had ( Iceland FFS) we lost out on a golden opportunity to reach the Final. England beat Wales with a last minute toe poke. North Ferriby would have given Wales a game and probably have beaten Iceland. England were woeful. The tournament was a disaster for England from start to finish. And to think it ****ed up all last seasons fixture list to 'prepare' for it.
Can't disagree with much of that, but what are we basing this Welsh love-in on, really? Apart from an admittedly very good showing against an off-colour Belgian side and putting 3 past a shambolic Russian team, what did they really do? I've just heard someone on TV say they 'lit up the tournament'. Bollocks.
I'd say France and Germany definitely have been stand outs. Also saying NFU would've beaten Iceland is ****ing stupid and seriously underestimating Iceland - the problem with a lot of people watching the Euros.
This is what I was saying on Friday but it seems to be compulsory amongst some that any analysis of Wales MUST be juxtaposed against England’s blatant failings. Wales have done well considering, bar Ramsey/Bale, they’re just a rag tag bunch of Championship players who have, to their credit, been moulded into functioning team. The only win of note was against Belguim who are very ****ing powderpuff. Let’s see how they do in fairly easy WC qualifying group and if they do well, then let them be measured by their own standards rather than comparing everything they do to the English and England.
You've surprised me with this. As someone asked earlier, why do you think Bale is a Tosser? To me, he comes across as an unassuming, highly talented, hard-working Brit. I just wish he were English; but we've got Rooney instead, Shrek.
