McColl has released a statement to say that he has no interest in extending his current shareholding, nor does he want a place on the board. He does however back this week's resolution to replace certain board members.
He's oot to rip the pish and get what he can. Nowt wrang wi that in a business sense but it's gonny **** us up big time.
Yep, that's the thing. Some people seemed to have no problem with him making a fat wad out of Rangers as long as he gave a feeling of certainty and some financial stability. It seems he caused more damage than good and now he's going to try and bleed the club and damn the consequences. To be fair the Sheffield fans were spot on with their warnings when he took over at Rangers, he did the same to Utd. Once a crook, always a crook.
We eagerly await the findings from BDO and Police Scotland's investigations into all things RFC . If they don't find Duff and Phelps complicit I will be extremely surprised . Surely the most pathetic/idiotic statements concerning Rangers in the last couple of years must be "Charles Green saved our club "
It will be interesting to see how exactly he got first dibs on Rangers. Apparently plenty of people had far more cash to offer than the £3.5m he paid D&P, yet they refused point blank to listen to other offers. It makes no sense.
Did one of D&P or their muckers not walk in the fabled Ibrox door with Whyte when he first arrived? Can remember something I'm sure.
Yep, their main guy whose name escapes me. I wonder how much he pocketed apart from their company fees?
A partner in D&P was an advisor to Whyte during his take over and was pictured in the Ibrox directors box at CWs first game after the take over . Yet D&P were found to have no conflict of interest and there was no proof that they knew anything of the Ticketus deal a couple of months ago . Got to ask why HMRC knowing what a shyster Whyte was , allowed him to appoint his own personal administrator too .
Did HMRC not try and stop Whyte naming his Admin guys? They knew rightly. Apportion blame in the right places Aldo, there's plenty to go around right enough. Servile behaviour among the fans played a part, looking to the 'big house' guy is a cultural thing. It still seems to play a part.
Actually HMRC raised no objections to DandP being made administrator . I don't apportion any blame on the taxman . I do feel they made a very curious decision in that particular case though .
"The administrators in the two other cases (Heart of Midlothian and Dunfermline Athletic) submitted that fines would be inappropriate as the clubs effectively had no money and any fine could jeopardise attempts to save the club. They made submissions on their clubs' financial position to reinforce their view. "Rangers' lawyer, in contrast, specifically asked for the club to be fined in respect of Charge 3, or Rule 14(g). He did not lead evidence of Rangers' financial position or ability to pay any fine. "Rangers did not appeal the fine." So either the SFA are extremely incompetent or they are simply clueless about administration. How could the regulating authority accept a request for a fine from a company in administration? The SFA are mongos, nothing more.
HMRC did apply to appoint its own administrators http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-17026172
