Great win for you today greeny. 6 points clear of 5th place and 2 games in hand of the other play off contenders. More importantly, a game in hand over the top 3, 2 of which you can leap frog <cheers>.

Despite the stormy conditions it was quite entertaining even if a bit of a comedy at times. I wanted it to be called off this morning mostly because I didn't want to go out and get blown off my feet and soaking wet. But, as always once you get somewhere it never seems quite as bad. Horrible conditions but some decent football by both sides. Good win as you say. After numerous pints the journey home was much nicer than the journey out.

Good win for your's today as well. I don't understand your lots down beat messages. You have had a good ride in the league so far and it can't end in failure can it. It only does that when you expect to get promotion rather than hope you do and you don't. I've given up expecting anything from mine and if we do get something then it seems so much better. It hurts less that way.

It's not the losing that's depressing; it's the way we are playing and our lack of goals. No-one ever considered we might be play-off contenders so we are happy that League 1 football is now all but guaranteed. But, if nothing else, we need to be entertaining otherwise our attendances will fall; something we can't afford.

I get that Ron. Last season our lot just held their hands up and gave in when it was harder to get relegated that not. That was the unforgivable part not the actual relegation itself. Our attendances show what we can achieve when the results and play is worth the money. We are Janners mind you so easily pleased.........

Yesterdays game did we deserve to go 1-0 up at half-time, yes it should have been a penalty in the first hslf, we were at the opposite end & from there you could see it was a penalty. The game mostly passed the Beast by. Allsop is a complete idiot getting booked for at least the third time this season for time wasting. Fred made a difference but you could see he was struggling after the hour, he gave there no 2 a torrid time in the first half which ended up in a booking & being sub. The weather not too bad it did'nt rain till halfway through the second half & hardly any wind at all in the stadium. The trip up & back from Southampton was fine back home by 10.00 last night. Over the 90mins we probably just about deserved the win & it keeps us in the mix with two intresting fixtures next Saturday & another couple the following Tuesday. On the bright side the bottom two can not catch us beat Tranmere on Saturday & we are definately safe.

Not quite but I think it is safe to say Tranmere won't win all their remaining games so, realistically, we have been "safe" for a while

Hello all, Chester FC supporter here.
My team didn’t have a game yesterday so I went on a groundhop to your game as I had never visited the University Of Bolton Stadium before. I have compiled a match vlog which shows all of the goals plus much more, so feel free to watch if you wish:

Best of luck to you for the rest of the season.
    Thanks, Rio Doherty.
