Here's my thoughts....lose in the final and great! If you win and somehow scrape promotion you will then be back in the same division that you got relegated from last time! And with a worse team! So even if you do get promoted major investment will be needed just to stay mid-table. Good luck with all of that marra :)

My thoughts exactly. The team we have will get pooped on in the Champ, so it's kind of win-lose and lose-win, which sums up being a NE fan rather well!

I thought I read somewhere that their romping to the League 1 title had not been possible as there were 5 Premier League standard sides in that Division this year.

There's only so many times a piece of **** will circle the bowl before it's eventually flushed away.

You only got beat 4 times as well yet here you are, scrapping away in the play offs for the last promotion place, despite having players on salaries which could cover most squads salaries in that division.

Enjoy your day out at Wembley, even if you lose you'll have all had a lovely day out and you'll have a netflix documentary to remember it all by as well.

You have to be monumentally **** to be in the bottom 3 as Fulham, Huddersfield and Cardiff have found this season. Subsequently you have to be monumentally rich, or extremely lucky to be in the top 6. I'd much rather be playing for a spot between 7th and 17th every week. Anybody who says they'd rather not be in the PL is just nuts in my opinion. Despite the numerous failings of the FA/Uefa and the constant bowing to them slags at sky, the top division is, and always will be the place to be.

Now where's them odds on Bolton finishing above you?

I agree that the Prem is the place to be, but that doesn't make it fun. Without massive investment a place in the top 6 is pie in the sky and a bad run puts you in fear of the drop, as most on here were thinking a few months back. Unless we get a new owner we'll be relegation-dodging the whole time while hoping for the occasional cup run. Not exactly a barrel of laughs...

Add to that the countless new pictures of your fans ****ing bubbling again that we can wheel out and throw at you next season when you're getting beat off Lincoln, Bury and MK Dons (coming up from L2).

Proper beelers you lot. I noticed last week that one of your Dutch contingent has it plastered all over the side of his house!
