They're supposed to have found a planet more habitable, one of Saturn's moons Titan. But its still something like -180c so it seems unlikely anything would ever come of it... plus it takes at least 4 years to get there using the fastest shuttle earth has to offer.
My ex girlfriend was made pregnant by the men from Mars. The police later commented that she shouldn't have parked in a car park in Slough.
A bit like scientists and black holes. I have been doing a lot of research into black holes recently. Apparently our own galaxy orbits around a supermassive black hole at the center of it. They really aren't holes at all, but objects with tremendous gravitational pull. I have been privately wondering what would happen if a wandering black hole had to find its way into earth's solar system. Might make life interesting.
Yep, I think Io is another one that potentially could sustain human life. I don't really see people habiting Mars in any huge way, but I think building a base to explore the solar system would be a goal. As for the time it takes to cover the huge distances of space, there are a few theoretical ideas around involving warp drives, that actually bend the fabric of space and time, a bit like black holes and worm holes.
At least all the short arse, small man syndrome people would get to be taller than 5'6" for a millisecond
There is a lot of credible evidence to demonstrate that there was a thriving and advanced civilisation on Mars at some point in the past, that was wiped out, either by a cosmic cataclysm or a war. Go hunting on YouTube. Among the massive amount of outlandish conspiracy crap, there are some real gems. Even if you are not inclined to believe any of it, there is food enough for thought.
Because God loves us. All of us, even the religious nutters, atheists, people from pompey. Everyone. According to the Buddhists, God also loves animals, plants, insects and plankton, so that probably includes aliens, and maybe even skates.
Hoping for a clear night for that one. A Blood Moon, would probably have got our ancestors in a state of high anxiety. Omens, portents, all sorts of ****. Only visible at all because of the way light will be refracted through the Earth's atmosphere. The point about water on Mars is that the existence of water has always been considered essential for any carbon based lifeform; so if there's water there, there may be some form of life, even if it's only algae. That would still be ****ing amazing imo.
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamed of in thy philosophy". The greatest ever Englishman said that (Bill Shakespeare).
Once again it's that thing where what can be understood by human minds is the only thing that they think is possible. Maybe we are the worst of beings? Maybe other Worlds and their ways are not in need of guidance. I mean people will believe that there is no God but some Aliens visited and people started to worship them. That to me suggests they were probably just advanced beings compared to us. Therefore probably not as ****ed up...therefore not in need of such guidance. Or maybe God did send guidance to them other Planets?
Right initials mate, wrong greatest Englishman. That honour went to Bob Stokoe (there was a vote when I was a kid. Bob won).
