I’ll say this. Most people haven’t peered through the eyepiece of a super expensive telescope in the $10,000+ range. Even those who are very interested in the subject(s). Now, buying one of these is not feasible for most considering most would consider it a hobby and not a profession.

These super powerful telescopes can be rented/borrowed though for a reasonable price and I’d suggest that for those who indeed are interested in subject, give it a go. It can’t hurt. Can it?

My condolences.

 

I’d say 80% if the worlds population believe in a god of some sort, with no credible evidence. None.

Yet they decide not to eat certain things, not drink booze, pray a few times a day. Deem it acceptable to bum kids, sell / take drugs, not leave the house on sundays, light candles on a Friday, It’s all utter ****ing bollocks. People are brainwashed.

Even the pope is trying to legitimise aliens as part of God’s plan. It’s bollocks. Religion is for weak minded fools. Who make a choice or are or forced to comply with it so as not to be segregated by their peers for not conforming.

I don’t believe in anything but I think it far more likely that we are an accident of circumstance and the likelihood there are other accidents of circumstance than some twat living in the clouds sending deities turning water into water down here.

It's no less shrewd to believe that there is a Creator and that there is design and purpose to life than it is to believe that there is no Creator and that there is no design or purpose to life.

Neither can be proven. Each concept is well beyond the comprehension of our brains to grasp.

What you choose to believe in will define what you do and who you are, from moment to moment. Some people believe that it is better to believe that we are divine with a divine purpose, and to try to live our lives accordingly, than to believe that this is nothing more than an accident, where something emerged from nothing, and that there is no purpose whatsoever to our being here.

I would even go as far as to suggest that it is more absurd to believe that something emerged from nothing and become a pointless, yet structured Universe, than to believe that it was created this way with design and purpose.

I cannot prove it, but neither can you disprove it.

I don’t need to believe in god to make a decent human being.

Yet people that believe in a god, strap bombs to themselves, bum kids and invade countries. The followers sell drugs kill things yet think that the fact the go to church or a mosque absolves them of being a ****.
