I think footballers are only human Frenchie. Penaranda has only ever played in Venezuala or for Granada, Udinese or Malaga - Eupen is one of the wettest places on this planet being only a couple of miles from the beginning of the Ardennes, and at this time of the year will be a culture shock for him.. It's also a small, and very conservative, place with only 18,000 inhabitants most of whom have a chip on their shoulder about being the only German speakers in Belgium ! The loaning out of players should be done with care and only to clubs which have a similar playing style to our own - so that as little adjustment is needed as possible.
Good grief, what were we thinking!?! Were we even thinking? Sending him there makes less than no sense at all!
We loaned, and then sold, Sulayman Marreh to Eupen. He is there now. Presumably the feeling was that the experience would be positive as a consequence. Having said that The Gambia is quite conservative.
Who? He probably speaks French too which would be a bit of a help. The squad is now as cosmopolitan as it can be and with a Spanish coach which might have helped.
I hate to say it but we shouldn't even be slightly relying on Welbeck. Unfortunately, he is super injury prone.

Blimey we'd be 7 points better off if VAR had been correctly used.. Mind you we might still have Flores and be losing in other ways! https://www.givemesport.com/1536769...look-if-every-refereeing-decision-was-correct
A nice easy but insightful read. I wonder who this player was? (Watford were losing 1-0 at Premier League leaders Liverpool but Pearson came in and, in the words of their goalkeeper Ben Foster, “stuck a rocket up somebody like you wouldn’t believe”.) and also didn't know Deeney had had another kid.
L’Équipe report that Premier League side Watford have appointed ex-Lens Sporting Director Eric Roy in the same role until the end of this season. On Tuesday, he spent the entire day at Watford to visit the facilities and meet with club representatives, including the president, in North West London. Watford were attracted to his experience and his vast network and have decided to appoint him as Sporting Director until the end of the season.
He directs the sport. A good one directs it in the right direction; a bad one directs it in the opposite direction; a mediocre one directs it at an angle to that of a good one; and a frustrating one directs it in circles.
Big Nigel has some good survival techniques! Maybe a good omen for us !! Well we did beat Wolves.. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10753001/watford-nigel-pearson-grey-wolves/#comments
