Watford will face fellow Championship side Blackpool in a friendly on Saturday as part of their World Cup break training camp in Spain. The Hornets will play the Seasiders at the Pinatar Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar, with the game kicking off at 1pm local time. Slaven Bilic and his squad have been out in Spain since the start of the week, while Michael Appleton and the Blackpool players arrived earlier today. FA really wanted to try and find Louza guilty it seems but failed . https://www.thefa.com/news/2022/nov/24/louza-update-241122
It looks as though the FA have money to burn. Dancing on the head of a pin trying to have a different interpretation of how the law can be used. Very expensive failure on their part.
A surprise score line in today's Premier League Cup match against WBA. First half hat trick for 17 year old Adrian Blake.
Julian Dicks agrees to join Slaven Bilic’s Watford backroom team please log in to view this image By Adam Leventhal 7m ago Julian Dicks has agreed to join Watford’s coaching staff and link up with his former West Ham teammate Slaven Bilic, The Athletic can reveal. Dicks is set to start work in his new role on Thursday after being in talks with the Championship club during the last month. He is expected to travel to the UK imminently ahead of taking up his position in Bilic’s back room team. Dicks not only played with Bilic at West Ham in the mid-90s, but was also an assistant to the Croatian when he was manager of the club between 2015 and 2017 and then subsequently at West Brom (2019-20). Dicks has been working as technical director for US academy Carolina Velocity but is now understood to have agreed the terms of his departure. Dicks kept the option of a return back to the UK, if the right option arose, open with Carolina. please log in to view this image GO DEEPER Slaven Bilic had a clear week to work with Watford players - and it paid off The Athletic reported last month that talks were underway between Watford and Dicks and Bilic admitted that he was keen to get the situation finalised: “I hope he’s on the way,” said Bilic. “He’s in the United States, we have to sort it out with the club (Dicks is a coach at Carolina Velocity) as we are lacking one guy when we do the sessions and Jules was always part of my staff when working in England. It’s about technicalities, those little details, but the goodwill is there from both sides. The sooner the better, I miss him.” Dicks will become the third coach that Bilic had brought with him since taking over in September, in addition to Danilo Butorovic and Dean Racunica. Watford resume their campaign against Hull on December 10 and the expectation is that Dicks will take a seat on the bench.
