    Watford v Arsenal

    ¿The dream return?
QSF knee slides down the touchline as Welbeck slams home a late winner set up by Sarr, after a defensive masterclass by the Hornets for 89 minutes. The crowd go wild as the Gooners can't believe what happened. Gino opens a bottle of chianti and all is well. QSF strokes his majestic beard as he regains his composure for the cameras.

    ¿The worst case secnario?
Arsenal's front three rip apart an already worn out Watford defence with pace, precision passing and goals galore. QSF slumps to the ground realising the size of the task in front of him. Javi, who is in the stands to watch the game, wrily smiles in this moment. Gino leaves his chianti on the sideboard.

I guess the game might pan out somewhere between the two. :emoticon-0138-think

    Team News:
Cathcart and Deeney are out, the later for sure, the former probably.
It'll be very interesting to see how Watford line up.
Arsenal have a full squad to choose from. EDIT: Lacazzete is out.

    ENJOY THE GAME.
    <cheers>

Your glass is even less half empty than mine!
Thanks for putting this up Mex, I was going to do it but this is the week before holibobs so time is even tighter than it has been! I'll be at the match, Mrs Fez will watch at home, and we are off to the land of The Pozzo's on Monday. I do not expect to be walking around Udine in my Watford shirt though, we're none too popular over there!

Alexandre Lacazette will miss Arsenal’s trip to Watford on Sunday after being ruled out with an ankle injury.

The 28-year-old striker, who has scored two Premier League goals this season, has been playing with the problem but the Gunners have stated he is now set to be sidelined until next month.

Lets hope we get some new manager bounce!

Cathcart potentially out so back to 4 at the back?

Maybe see Welbeck and Sarr start..?

What do you think, yorkie? I’m intrigued about midfield, too. I think I’d like to see Hughes more central, Sarr on the right, Doucoure benched for now, Capoue and Pereyra making up the rest of the four. Janmaat in for Femenía. Actually I’d like the back four I put above. You?

I think he may play an extra central defender... So we can be squarer at the back.. Which protects both wings.. Janmaat is good too.. And kiko coming forward but not tracking back..

Surely he will play Sarr and Welbeck for half a game too..

From what I have seen so far this season, Javi tried to pack the centre of the field often leaving the wide areas exposed. You could almost feel that a goal was coming when we were attacked from the wings, and just look back at the number of times last ditch clearances were made by our central defenders as the ball was whipped across.
My suspicion is that QSF will have our two full backs as just that, which would be a bit of a shame as Holebas has created quite a few goals with his ability to get in dangerous crosses. (On his day.) On the other side I still don't think that Kiko can defend which is why he was sometimes played with Janmaat behind him.
I think we may have a clue as to what to expect in style from the comments he has made to the press. "Three years is too much in football, so it's possible I've changed, but as a coach I didn't change too much. I still like the compact teams, good defenders, choosing well where we are going to make the pressure, where we want to regain the ball, to play fast, to go to the box, not to dedicate many many passes, or anything. I want to be straight." Sounds like defend in numbers, catch them on the break tactics.
