Absolute masters in making it as unnecessarily difficult as possible. 7/9 points against sides around us, for Saints it is nice to see us do well against sides around us for a change.
Cracking result that. I mean, it should have been waaaay easier, but it's three priceless nuggets, and hopefully a week off for the moaning crew (unlikely, I know). Tino and KWP MOTM for me.
Draw Villa and beat Norwich, and it will have been a very good (and needed) set of five. (Win both, and it'll be dreamland.)
Feel for A. Armstrong. His positioning and run-making is fantastic. He’s just too snappy with his shooting. Needs a goal and I feel he can really go on a streak. I know Che got the goal (a f*cking beauty), but Armstrong was the more dangerous of the two. Regards Che, should have come off at 60 mins; looked so tired.
For people of a certain age. Took me a while to cotton on. Hard to think straight when you are euphoric.
Agree with those choices. Those two are so bloody good. KWP has to be starting, even if it’s on the left. What a player.
McCarthy looked very comfortable today, had that superb save near the end and held the wet ball well. Cant wait until Broja is back and JWP actually has someone to aim for on set pieces
I just text No 7, and said since he’s stayed away we are picking lots of points So stay away all the time @thereisonlyoneno7…………. No not really
Oh damn, you just reminded me of JWP. Was okay today. Not a patch on Romeu who was in beast-mode again. But his corners are gash. From the right (out-swinging), it’s okay. But from the left (in-swinging), they are actually counter-productive. Straight into the keeper’s hands. Quick throw, counter-attack. At least two or three times. Anyway, that’s my only moan. Great performance from the lads.
Good win. McCarthy silenced the 'Fraser in' brigade with a world class save (and another clean sheet). Redders put in another good shift. KWP proved he can play left back just as well as right back. Can't see anything too controversial about all that but unlike others I think Adam A had a really good game, getting into good spaces, getting shots off early (something we've lacked over the last year) and never stopped running.
KWP MOTM first half, Salisu 2nd half and overall. The man's a beast of a CB. KWP great going forward in the first half as well. Tino also excellent.
