Surprised no one has started things off for the first day of the York meeting, but, OK, I don't mind! :emoticon-0105-wink: :emoticon-0100-smile

In the opener at York tomorrow (13:50) the probable favourite Gaassee will be tough to beat in this Class-2 Handicap over a distance just short of 1-1/2 miles. Many of the runners are returning after long breaks, and it might be wise to look for one who is fit from recent runs. One such runner is Tim Easterby's Dark Jedi who looks a decent e/w bet for a podium finish. Did not settle LTO at Newmarket 10-days ago, but should do better this time. An ultra-game gelding who always tries his best. Regular jockey, Duran Fentiman, rides for the Easterby yard. 16/1 best price at time of writing, generally-available, so a modest e/w for me.

Enjoy the York meeting folks! :emoticon-0167-beer:

    York 2.25 Makanah

Very unlucky when 4th at Musselburgh last time out when returning from a break (going well when no clear run in a crucial part of the race). Eased 1lb and surely will improve on 2nd run this season.

Well, favourite Gaassee duly one the first, but Dark Jedi let the side down badly. Enough said, very disappointing run. Possibly needs a drop in Class?
In the 16:10 at York The Cookstown Cafu has the form to run a good race, but this writer does not have the form at all, so he's probably jinxed the poor horse and connections. :emoticon-0101-sadsm :bandit:
