Hereford Small bet 12,50 Harvie Wallbanger 22/1 e/w three places 14,50 Dynamite Kentucky 8/1 e/w sky four places, 15/2 others
And this is why I like to leave the picking to the professionals,Stick Swanny & Pilgrim amongst others.
In the Class-4 Handicap Chase at Hereford (14:50) over a distance just over 3m1f, am hoping for a good run from the Frennch-bred Kap Rock gelding, Felton Bellevue. Bred to stay, and should not be bothered by the heavy ground conditions. Bryan Carver rides for the Ben Case yard. 10/1 available in three or four places, and is best price at time of writing. E/W best option at these odds.
Agree on Stick, Pilgrim, and would add PrincessNewmarket, Nassau, too, and there are others who are well-connected. Not trying to be modest but I do have my fair share of 'blow-outs' (not good for an ex-oilman ). However, I try hard to work on the racing info. that is available to all of us, Racing Post excluded. I enjoy doing it, and the occasional winner is nice too!. Thank you for the kind words, anyway.
I dont think you will be far of there Dynamite also stands out but the race in general should be close , too close for me. Good luck though
I am an amateur in comparison to the other two names, but thank you for remembering me. My two selections today ran very poorly.
I pay attention to all French-breds, Stick, when the going is on the very soft or heavy side. However, I must admit that I have not gone into any detailed examination of Kap Rock as a sire. I am guessing that you don't go much on him? When you are interested in the purchase of a racehorse for NH racing, what sires and damsires do you (and Nassau too) favour most of all?
He buys whatever I tell him to. Although I’m going to be in his bad books when he looks at the full card.
Had a quick look at Kap Rock's performance as a stallion, not bad at all. Importantly, he is a brother of the top French sire Kapguarde. Kap Rock stands at the Knockhouse Stud in Ireland.
I only ask because there is one running in the Bangor bumper on Saturday, nudge nudge wink wink. I have a list of preferred sires, very few of who's progeny I can ever afford. My favourite for bumpers was Gold Well but sadly he did not have a very long career at stud.
I’d quite like buy a horse by Geordieland, who had impressed me as a sire. Soldier Of Fortune and his half brother Affinisea are a pair I expect to have a good few bumper winners this season too.
