Big weekend for England fans plus we know our football is slowly coming back. Friendly played yesterday against Elche, a couple more planned for ER and a league game within a couple of weeks. Then the transfer window to disappoint again. But back to the World Cup and looking at Stonkins prediction league it would seem most of us fancy France to beat England Any high points from last nights game? Well the media marked only Robles and Klich as 7/10 with Drameh and Joseph on 6/10 the rest were average to poor. Yes all about fitness plus we had missing faces. Did we learn anything? Yes we are unfit and at the end of the game every Leeds player was doubled over. We also couldn’t put our foot on the ball in the first half or play against a high press. Our forwards may as well have gone for a beer in the first half as they got zero service Good to see that Gnonto’s parents have now moved to Leeds and live with their son. It’s got to be a lonely place after training ends and you’re a foreign teenager. Guessing Willie is the main bread winner now as his dad moved to Italy 30 years ago from Ivory Coast and worked as a general labourer in Bavano (80kms from Milan) and his mum waited tables in the main hotel. Well it’s tranny window bingo time again which usually ends up with no winners, (except Eire ) but lets see which names have been thrown into the mix this window: Ryan Kent again Adama Traore again Che Adams again Chris Wood, why? Cunha again, yes please Gakpo again, no chance CDK again FFS Jonathon David again yes please Dion Deena Beljo Boulaye Dia Sassa Lukic Ritsu Doan Pape Gueye Ola Aina Rapha Guerreiro Gerardo Artetga Josh Tymon Kai Wagner Fabiano Parisi Abdelamhid Sabiri Ben Brereton Diaz Victor Gyokeres
Big hug between Marsch and Klich last night gave me the feeling that it was his last game for Leeds. MLS side DC United have made enquiries about Klich along with Royal Antwerp, plus clubs in Holland and Germany…..
If Klich wants out Leeds get a bigger fee in January and not as much in June? But Marsch says he has had conversations with Klich but we know how that ended up in the summer because he lost his World Cup place, so being promised more game time again may not wash. Similar with Drameh….. more weasel words? The Daily Mail reported (11 November) that Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund were tracking him, while the Whites board reportedly [YEP, 28 November] have taken their contract offer off the table. “Obviously he has Luke ahead of him right now competing for that position, Rasmus as well, but Cody for me, has had his best time, his best two weeks he’s ever had since I’ve been here have been the last two weeks,” said Marsch, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post. “I think he’s mentally he’s pretty clear in his head and I think he’s playing really well. So I’m really happy for him. We even considered starting him today because we think he’s doing so well. So that’s great to see.”
It looks like Klich is definitely on his way out. He was our depth and experience on the bench. We’re only going to get peanuts for him, I can’t see us replacing him, not with more pressing areas that need addressing first. I guess you have to prepare yourself for the Dallas is like a new signing statement as surely they’ve already used the Forshaw card
Youre very sceptical. Dallas will be like a new signing but so will Lord Bamford. We’re just having the last few nuts and bolts tightened on his latest repairs in Germany.
Another great idea you’ve given me mr wakey.. If he pulls anymore sick days I’ll get victor to threaten him with removal of those too. Have you ever considered a bit of player motivational work. We might have some work within our organisation going soon when the relegation battle really heats up
I'm thinking along the lines of bringing back the cold communal bath for after the game. Also banning all nancy boy attire in training and reverting to socks /shorts and short sleeves. Plus the return of the outside bogs at the training ground like Revie had. Also brining back the cigerette break to be inclusive.
Great ideas but far too drastic, you’d kill them all. But maybe the problem is victors been recruiting in the wrong area. If we recruited young rugby players from now on we’d solve many issues. They’re built like tanks, hard to injure, cheap as chips to buy and small wages. Doesn’t matter if they can’t kick a ball, vic says that’s not that important in the modern game. Watch out for a dozen surprise January signings. Look at this lot. Have to find their agents numbers. Even Marcello couldn’t break these in training surely
