Everyone keeps saying its just a friendly, and players are finding their feet. But its the same for both sides! To me, very disappointing! Our players are supposed to be the fittest, therefor we should have some kind of advantage over our competition!
This was Real Betis’ fourth pre season friendly, whereas this was our first main one, so they’re a lot further ahead in their build up. Having said that it does beg the question why we’re so far behind in our preparations, la liga and the PL both kick off on the same weekend.
Struijk went for a challenge with Betis midfielder Nebil Fekir and got the better of him. Fekir was furious and kicked Struijk hard. Struijk had to be substituted. Villa have moved up to 2nd place in the net spend league with £58m as just paid £30m for Leon Bailey. If they sell Grealish for £100m they will move down to the bottom of the league with -£42m, funny old world. Man Utd are top on £73m for Sancho but will also be spending another £40m for Verane from Real Madrid as he flys in on Monday and they will also buy Trippier for £25m and they may not be done yet

Sorry, but is Forshaw a player we need? Is he really good enough? We need a creative central midfielder and that is not Forshaw. I would say we should sell him if someone wants him, if not just release him. I will be very disappointed if we don’t get a creative midfielder in.
I'm not sure about Adams and James to be honest. For what I have seen of them I’m not convinced they are the player to take us forward. I definitely think Wolves have our pants way done on this one. And the scum are just looking for a payday
