Hudders lacked a Lge One match winner. Peterborough had CMS, at the time, and we had Rickie. It could have been the difference between Huddersfield overhauling Us and Brighton. I say could have, before anyone jumps to tear me down.
Don't see the point of slating their run. With better luck they would have got promoted last season - P'Boro scrapped it - Hudders deserved it on merit. Good luck to Huddersfield - you deserve to egt your promotion and it was nice to see Clark staying loyal to his club. Why do we have to slate Clark and go on about how much better Adkins is - not the point of the thread! Yes, we are lucky to have Adkins - good call by NC on the appointment. We might be top of the Champoinship and we might get auto-promotion - but a little humility never hurt anyone...
The fact of the matter is, if Huddersfield had of been promoted then they wouldnt have that ****ty unbeaten run! Also theyve drawn 8 games this year thats **** they might aswell have lost 5 n won 3 for more points! they are not even top of the league! its all a joke
The run is void as they lost in playoffs IMO. Even then they've drawn so many games its completely pointless, I'd rather win 2 and lose 3 than draw 5. They probably won't get promoted again this season, they are Englands best bottlejobs
If they had more wins and a few losses they would have done better, but still an achievement. Their next result will be interesting.
I prefer Charltons record. Top of the table, & widening the points gap by beating the team in 3rd place. Chris strikes me as a boss who wants to win.........not draw. (a slightly bitchy, fairly uncalled for dig at Lee if you missed it)
Oh look, it's the ref's fault. My Huddersfield supporting mate reckons Clark's job might be in danger, amazing really but you can see where he is coming from.
I wouldn't say that it's uncalled for. Having got to know a few of them quite well on 606, I do feel a bit sorry for Huddersfield fans having him in charge of their club.
If they were a bit more concerned with winning matches rather than remaining unbeaten, perhaps they would have turned some of those draws into wins (and a few into losses), and be challenging Charlton for top spot. As it is, Charlton are romping it and are clear favourites, whereas Huddersfield are getting caught up with the big trailing pack.
Interesting fact, When Huddersfield started the unbeaten run they where 2 points off top spot, When they finished their unbeatean run 44 games later they where 7 points off top spot! Pretty good unbeaten run NOT REALLY
