Was in Driffield yesterday. Pleased to say I saw 3 City shirts, all young lads under 14 or so. No shirts of TWS, Man
Utd, Liverpool or anyone else apart from one Barcelona one.

Are we really going to descend into copying and pasting extracts from rugby league message boards on here? There is surely no need. Next stop after that will HDM below the line comments, where full-on madness lies.

Way to confuse someone. Tell 'em where they're bombing when they already know where they're bombing 'cos they chose the targets.

I'm gonna confuse the **** out of Asda tomorrow by going in and telling 'em that they sell potatoes.

That'll mess with their minds. They won't know what to do..

Still, they'd have been happy to see their local club Warrington beat Hull...

The point was in those days they didn’t. They had no effective radar and used to use the Humber as a navigation pointb(for the same reason we chose Hamburg as an early big air raid, water made the primitive radar more effective). They built dummy docks outside of Hull, the site is still there, hoping to distract them as returning bombers from elsewhere used to follow the Humber and knew Hull was somewhere on the way, it wasn't Their primary target, and they would release any unused bombs. Saying bombs had dropped on a North East coastal town would confuse them, as Germans are very precise and knew Hull wasn’t on the coast.

Shame the Luftwaffe missed the Boulevard then we wouldn't have 76 pages of drivel.

I’d hazard a guess that yourself and Billy Bollock Chops have posted the most on this thread.

    Glad to be of service.
