Looking at the draws I'd be happy with anyone other than the top 3 in the QF's if we make it past West Brom. Pompey or Arsenal - Could be an upset but Arsenal aren't the most worrying team in the draw Man U or Derby - Man U we've beaten so far this season and could be a Cupset with Wazza knocking out his old team mates Norwich or Tottenham - Wouldn't surprise me to see Norwich beat a half baked Spud team but under Jose Tottenham are a countering team like us but pushing for top 4, will they play their best team? Chelsea or Liverpool - Could be Liverpool are focusing on the EPL and CL by the time this one rolls around, We've smash and grabbed against Chsleski already this year. Desperately wouldn't want either in the next round though. Man C or Sheff W - City would be the team I'm most worried about - their best chance of silverware this season can't see them going out to Wednesday Reading or Sheff U - Sheff U again are a team whose priorities could lie elsewhere - first season up and they are gunning for Europe. Leicester or Birmingham - Pray Birmingham could do everyone a favor and knock out the foxes but again they have bigger fish to fry chasing down CL football with Chelsea & Spurs chasing hard. Depending on the draw it'll be 3 of the top 4 in the semi's + another. Apart from the top 3 I would fancy our chances against any of the other teams in the draw with Sheff U posing the biggest threat in my opinion followed by Spurs and then Arsenal and Man U. Hopefully a few teams will take their eye off the cup while chasing bigger prizes and once you're in a semi final form and the rest of it goes out the window. To be clear I think out of the 16 left we are probably still somewhere around 12th favorites to actually win it if we are through to the next round of 8 we'll be 7th/8th favorites but you got to be in it to win it.
how am I turning on anyone? I just see them beating us on a tuesday night. they're a top of the championship and we have been dreadful for quite some time now..
there's a difference between a decision based on evidence and using faith which is an inaccurate pathway to finding an answer.
They're a poor side, they struggle to score goals but they are quite defensive. The issue is, we struggle against anyone defensive as we have such a poor attack, so it's gonna be a boring game. Could go either way, but I'd prefer we keep the cup run going.
