What is all the bollux with your club putting all these nonsense restrictions on Cardiff City Fans coming to the game?
    What are they afraid of?
We didn't put any barriers in your way when you came to us so what is your big problem?
you changed the time and now want a central meeting and voucher exchange? Why?
And you told the league if that is not agreed you will ban our supporters. So what you gonna do with 10 coach loads of us outside your half empty ground?
All you are doing is trying to wind problms up when there is actually no need for it.
What's it all about, we don't get this carp with any other club?
    What are you afraid of.

We've been asking them the same question for years - think they got fed up of 1500 Wall fans ripping the piss out of them for 2 hours and making more noise than they could dream of <ok>

It's not the police it's the club. I know it isn't the supporters.
We have no problem with police anywhere including the den. It's Leeds management, probably egged on by colin, trying to make something out of nothing, and potentially causing the very problem they pretend to be trying to avoid. Then they can say "we told you so" like a bunch of fecking fairies.

Basicially, Leeds new owners are the only skint arab bankers in the middle east and can't afford to pay the policing costs - therefore the fans suffer <ok>

Because LUFC get major pressure put on them by a ****witted media and repressive Police force. It looks like the club's decision, but it's not them voluntarily moving kickoffs, changing travel plans, issuing vouchers, demanding OTT segregation and filming fans.

It's a disgrace, but you come over like you're using the struggle common to football fans as a way to spew anti-Leeds bilge.

Its all about who pays for the police, wyp want the club to pay for police in the city center, station, and routes to the ground etc which comes to more than the total cost of away fan tickets in most cases,ie we lose money on you coming to Leeds. The club after going court have refused to pay for police away from the ground and so the police force the club to put restrictions on fans.

A couple of seasons back police charged £50,000 to police a handful of millwall fans.I think eventually the dispute will lead to a total away fan ban.
ps other police forces want to do the same and are watching the situation.

There are some games that the police regard as too high profile to not be relaxed with away fans. And Cardiff coming to Leeds is one of those.

I could get really nasty about this given Cardiff's poor history, but I'll save it for another day. How do we get treated when we come to Cardiff? The last time I went with a different group to "play" the Millenium stadium, all police leave was cancelled. Within about an hour of all of us (about 5,000) turning up, the police confirmed that it was the easiest gig they ever had & spent the weekend in amazement watching us.

This is a sign of things to come for Leeds Utd and its only going to get worse, How the **** will they cope if they ever get to the prem <laugh>
Not only will it result into a total ban of away supporters there will be restrictions on home fans too. and more stupid kickoff times...

The once mighty leeds are turning into a puppy club <doh> Bates won the court case Leeds lose millions and are in serious danger of losing their club,

Wouldn't go quite that far Mighty. Police are responsible for policing regardless of where it occurs. When there's a big march in Ldn, the police agree the route with the organisers & put plod in the right place. Not sure that they then bill the organisers for the cost of policing that event.

If plod want to put loads of coppers on the route from train statons to he ground, why should they then charge clubs for the privilege? If they're going to do that, they should then charge the Labour party or any other opposition party for policing a march..... or have I missed something here?

Boggers there is a big difference between a football match and a march, its extremly difficult to keep protesters away from a march but if the police feel they cant cope with policing 25,30,35,000 football fans they can put restrictions on the game, to ensure fewer fans attend. All at a cost to your club.

Fair point Mighty. The thing is, plod can't stop people going to the ground, only getting in. More to the point, in the same way that there are marches where trouble is a fair possibility, certain football matches have a higher risk of trouble than others.

The number of plod attending rugby matches is minimal in part because all fans mix together. There's also minimal plod attendance at Everton Liverpool matches & there's also minimal if any segregation. Perhaps if all fans were frisked & went through metal detectors, the atmosphere might be slightly less hostile if fans were able to mix together. If we accept general banter, would we all be able to cope with actually sitting with rival fans?
