What do we want? When Holloway was our manager- someone who had a tactical brain. When Warnock was our manager someone with a game plan. Now that it's Hughes we want our team to play positively with the aim of winning games. Both Olly and Colin were willing to "give it a right good go" in their Bristolian and Yorkshire accents. When things didn't go our way with such a reckless attitude, we clamoured for a new boss man. We wanted a man wise to the ways of the Premier League who could turn us into a team that didn't give the ball away, played with clinical efficiency and ground out results. That is what Hughesie was brought in to do. The trouble is we are by no means a finished article. However he is turning us slowly into the team many of us wanted. Nowt wrong with that vision. A bit of excitement and passion wouldn't go amiss though. And I don't mean hanging on for dear life as we grind out narrow victories against the big boys. That's my one gripe. If the doubters get their way, what is it that you want our new manager to be able to do that you regard Warnock and Hughes as unable to deliver? I believe that both men if given adequate time would have achieved /will achieve our long-term ambitions albeit by completely different routes but it does take time. If some of you can't accept that .................... The owners and fans of Man Utd, Man City, Everton and Arsenal realised that point a long time ago. Let it grow and we will reap the harvest.
To pick the best players and then find a formation that suits. If our best team isn't good enough then fine but right now, we just don't know because players like park and swp keep appearing on the teamsheet. A manager who won't let us die wondering.
Play players in their best positions would be a start. And stop playing players who are ****e. eg Park and Onouha.
