There`s a long way to go, but with QPR 9 points off automatic promotion, and form fading, what is his excuse going to be this time if they don`t go up ?. He`s assembled a squad of older, experienced players without a young, home grown player on sight - sound familiar ?
He usually manages to relegate teams, so he must be thrilled that QPR are safe this season P.s. how many teams do you have to relegate before the media stop fawning over you?
The media will never stop fawning over Harry, cos he gives them what they want- a soundbite every time. Their love for him as nothing to do with his ability and everything to do with his quotability. Ps his autobiography's a good read. Mostly bullshit, but a good read.
I think it is changing though. They used to laugh with him at the soundbites. Now they are laughing at him.
Not sure he'll ever need an excuse. As with his time with us, he'll sweep it under the carpet as if it never happened, and no-one in the media will ever lift that carpet up. He'll then walk straight into the next available PL job, and all the talk in the media will just be about his time at Spurs, as if nothing has happened since.
Harry Redknapp is an absolute disgrace of a manager. Imagine the wages some of those players are on obviously with the foresight of being promoted. A team of overpaid, clapped-out, Premiership rejects. I hope QPR make the play-offs and get absolutely tanked by Forest or somebody in the final.
Just seen a tweet about the QPR loss. Never change, Mr Redknapp. Those £65.4m #QPR losses for 12-13 in context: only #mcfc and #cfc have ever made bigger one-year losses in England. please log in to view this image
In England, only Chelsea and Manchester City have ever made bigger one-year losses than QPR, who spend more on wages than Dortmund.
I don't think he's that bothered...in his mind he's done a job and will get out and help some ailing club to return to hero status..... (great Avatar btw Mr Piego)
Here's another from Raf Hongstein QPR spend more money on wages than Borussia Dortmund. Think about that for a moment.
'Arry will say is that he has nothing to do with the finances and it is the chairman who does the deals and agrees wages etc. The same tosh he trots out everytime the club he is/was managing is crippled by spiralling wage costs. Although this may be technically true, he has the gift of the gab and an obvious ability to get Chairman to bring in the players he wants at any cost (although not knowing himself what that cost is). If a Club fails to achieve their target and he hasn't been backed to the hilt, then he can easily shift the blame to the money men. So they are backed into the corner and feel like they have to fund him. This is where the whole "down to bare bones" thing comes from. He gets his excuse in early incase he doesn't get bank rolled.
