I will generally eat most fish, as long has I've haven't got to pick bones out of it. Although I tend to steer clear of octopus, squid and anchovies.

Quiz at the Cheese tonight. Too late for a proper meal, so looking at a bowl of pobs. Tobes'll know what it is and maybe a couple of others. Not many.

Going to try and attempt to cook toad in the hole. Do I cook the sausages first before putting in the batter mix?

Wouldn't that depend on how thick his sausage is?

Not really. I’d give the sausage 5-10 mins in the oven first. Then pour the batter mix over them.

why do you want to oven the sausages first, when there is a good hob?

****ing sausages in the oven, if not part off a dish like toad, are a big no for me.

I always have done when making a toad in the hole. Oven them for a bit whilst heating the oil in a separate dish in the oven when the oil is hot pop the sausages in that dish and pour the batter mix over them. 20 mins later the lot is done.

You can do it that way, I’m just lazy. An they have to be ovened anyway to make it properly.
