    Fair enough

Don't get me wrong I can be lazy as feck if I have nowt to do. Happily binge watch a tv series

But I got loads of kids, including a disabled one and run the property development bit while I was doing a few hours teaching arabic etc

My outlet was sitting on here with you at night

Think I need to stop some of the work and get a social life

Anyway, cheese mash. Bacon, mushy peas, beans and spicy sausage. All I could be bothered with

No probs, you can use fresh rice or new rice (jasmine) using fresh rice you need to ideally soak it over night. Spark up your flame and stick a pot on it with water in and bring to the boil. We use a bamboo kratip (steaming vessel) put all you rice in and cover with fine cheesecloththen place a lid over and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Left over cooked rice is better for us as we generahave enough left over from the restaurant, you don’t have to soak this but need to steam for about one hour. You can flavour it with seeds of your choice or coconut, mango...the world is your oyster.

Quite often if I’m out and felling peckish I’ll buy a piece of bbq chicken on a stick and a sachet of sticky rice. The rice is 5 baht.

I make them here and sell them for 40 baht each. Used to make vegetarian ones back in the uk.

Pork mince but I season it with sage, thyme black pepper. 40 baht is nearly a quid.

Isn’t is a certain type of rice used though? More of a short grain variety?

    I've done it with basmati.

Turned out ok but it really isn't worth the effort. Tastes no better then boiling to be perfectly honest. Boiling is nicer and easier to eat too.

Unless you really do want to eat with your hands I don't see the point myself.
