Eh? That's not what I said though is it?

I can be arsed, I just don't have an oven or hob. (I'm at ****ing work, not home. Just to repeat. Again)

Prepping the veg etc. otherwise is not a problem.

Au contraire Commy! Made a beef stew in my slow cooker for tonight’s dinner. Will dish up in an hour.

Really? This is genuinely a super recipe that is bengal in origin. The baked beans are rinsed to get rid of all the sauce then added to the sauce at the end. I personally use black eyed peas which I soak over night then cook them ready for the sauce.

Surely a coconut free baked bean Curry is just a baked bean curry? It could be a dog-free baked bean Curry if you want!

Yeah just looked it up, flavoured mainly with apple, caramel and curry powder. Bet they’re good in a baked potato.

Okay, now I understand. You live in a shed, and the slow cooker, doubtless powered by a Toyota Landcruiser battery, is your only cooking tool.

You could seal the meat with a blowtorch?

Love my slow cooker and have had it for over 20 yrs now.

It was invaluable when I was on my own ( apart from two teenagers, who may or may not show up) I could put it on in the morning and it was all ready for whatever time you got back at night.

Great for tough cuts too. I had a super Brisket with mustard and Guinness recipe. One pot dish....:emoticon-0110-tongu

I remember as a kid adding lashings of Daddies sauce to baked beans on toast. Love it!

Same. I live alone and chuck a full dinner in there before work and when I get home it goes on a plate.

Do you live in a shed and use a car battery to power it too?

Just had leftover Pad Thai, Pad krapow, red curry duck and green curry chicken.

Was very nice indeed, has cleared my cold ridden sinuses up a treat.
