Price you'd pay for goods (excluding house and car)

Phones, TV, Shoes, Football tickets, Pint.

You name it, you got it.

Phone 200 max. Normally 100 but it doesn't get you much these days.
Most I've spent on a TV was 450 but am looking at a new one and that's about double.
Don't like spending on clothes so try and get stuff cheap.
Anything over 3.50 for a pint pisses me off.

City centre pubs pint prices piss me off.

Difficult question but top end price i would pay, hmmm, well top money i would spend would be on a phone out of that list, i think they are every day essentials now, so £700 - I don't do contracts. TV, I've spent well over 1k in the past but these days prices are such £500. Shoes don't know. Football tickets, spent about £400 on an ST for my club in the past, if I get charged more than £25 for a match day i start crying. Pint of beer, I get fooking pissed off if i have to pay a fiver in a bog standard boozer (London)!...generally will accept paying about £3.60ish, no qualms about going into a Wetherspoons and paying about 2 quid.

Same on clothes in that I'll pay more for stuff I want, usually footwear or coats.
It's not just city centre pubs anymore that charge bullshit prices, a lot of local pubs (albeit in posh, hipster areas) charge a fortune. And it's usually **** beer on tap too.

Seems like £3.50 maximum for a pint is about right then.
Bournemouth and Southampton prices aren't too bad generally.
Most expensive places I've drank were London and Glasgow.

Used to love going over to France and getting hammered on wine, back when the euro was weak as ****. Now it's almost as expensive as here.

Yeah I've never spent big on phones, I'd just break the ****er at work. TV's are different as I'd spend more on them if I watched a decent amount but I barely have it on.
Headphones on the other hand <whistle>

Max for headphones would be £1k.
Already spent at least that on ones I own already but normal cutoff is £400.

Barely watch TV, maybe an hour or two a day so don't see the need to spend a lot.
I've had an expensive phone once or twice on contract but the first I smashed dropping it down a ladder at work. The second I got pissed down my local and dropped it down the loo which hadn't been flushed all night.
Still fished it out like a pro though.

Not being funny, but aren't the headphones only as good as the system you are listening on?

Yep. But it's a lot cheaper than it used to be.
Got a cheap CD player and soundcard in the PC. Then that's linked to an external headphone amp and a dac.

I'm still confused. How do the headphones make it sound better if it's not coming from a top notch output?
