    Accrington 2 - Ipswich 0 is a good start.

Why is this a matchday thread? :emoticon-0138-think

Phil Parkinsons job really starts today, he has only been out on the training pitch for a couple of hours at the most thurs / fri with the players so lets just put that loss down to the old regime. I have the upmost confidence that he will bring at least play-offs and get the team playing....The whole lot of them need a massive rocket up their arses to get them going and hopefully his experience proves dividends to do that.

Exactly. These players will never again play at a ground or club like safc. Time for them to get fired up and play to their ability again

I just want safc to start having a belief in themselves and dictate games, instead of allowing teams dictate terms to them.

Being pro active rather than reactive

Eeeeeh look at me with the management speak

good words above there mate (although you maybe dont have to sign off with the dancing man every time..hahahaha...) Anyways though they need to start playing like theres something at stake here because they are just plodding at the minute (ever since christmas if we are honest)...Im sure a new manager bounce will take effect and make us push on

We will turn them over but whenever we come to another side in the top half we’ll meekly roll over.

The best we can hope for is to be champions of course and the least is the play-offs. I would be dreading anything less not hoping for it.

Would be interesting to know where Luton were at this stage last year, surely any of the top ten could still win this league

After 12 games, Luton had 19 points (w5,d4,L4). They also lost their 13th game at Barnsley.

Portsmouth had 27 points from their 12 games.

Shows that all is not lost just yet.

I'm still hopeful of promotion. We've been canny ****e this season and are only two points off the play-offs so we only need to be marginally less ****e to make top six. If we somehow managed to become canny good at that scoring of goals trick, and in Grigg we do have a striker capable of that, might even make top two.

I always live in hope and the best we can hope for is going up as champions and winning a major cup competition and qualifying for Europe.. :emoticon-0115-inlov:emoticon-0115-inlov

I think at the minute JMc and Burge are much of a muchness. He will probably persist with Burge till he drops a clanger.
