It's a shame we don't play Leicester until New Years Eve. We really need the confidence boost.

Or they just wanted to make sure he’s looked after and gets a good compensation package when they sack him in a couple weeks time <whistle>

Triple his wages to encourage him to accept a 'no compensation if sacked' clause...?

I wish every job gave you a good compensation package for being sacked. Would make working a lot less stressful.

Excellent. If it's from Dribs then I'm hoping it will be some extra strong Guinness.

its very difficult see the logic in some clubs at this point.

Gerrard yes, the fans didn't like it at all and the results are ****e.

    Lets fact it though.

Everton are hanging on in there just about on 10 points in 15th after 11 games and scoring 6 goals.
Leicester are in 19th after 11 games on 8 points. and thats cos they had games v forest, bournemouth palace and leeds (all struggling) to take 7 points
southampton are in 14th on 11 points and are par for the course as far as i am concerned.

I can only conclude theres a period of games from now til world cup that villa re not concerned with (more concernedwith fan unrest) but these clubs are thinking to get to world cup

    Leicester:
    Wolves
    City
    everton
    west ham

They could lose 2 and draw 2 for example or could win 2 lose 2. who knows.

    Everton:
    Palace
    Fulahm
    Leicester
    Bournemouth

Everton NEED to win these games. The first two look beyond them but they can compete, the last two are must win for fat frank (he only cares about himself)

    southampton:
    Arsenal
    palace
    newcastle
    liverpool

    Nightmare fixtures for that side.

Congratulations. The first to make it a thing about other clubs.

Gerrard should have been given more time, fine player and did a job at Rangers. The banter is that he is ex Liverpool. He trusted the players from the previous man, a bloke well liked by them. If the Villa board had more faith then he would have turned it around, look at what it’s done for Arteta.

Sorry mate but just listening to their fan speak. I heard nothing good from any villa fan about the guy. IMO leaving out any former player bias I think their board knew the fans hated him and the last straw was a big loss with fans singing for his head. nozzer picked gerrard in the vote so won.

I'm now speaking about the NEXT round of voting which is who is next for the chop. This article is really about who's next and voting for who might get it in the neck. I've voted Rodgers again as my theory is if i keep saying it eventually it'll be right.

Too much too soon for Stevie G, but he's cut his teeth. He'll be back.

What I don't get is why Rodgers hasn't gone yet. Leicester's record is worse than Villa's

Now again, all for banter. But the bloke was just trying to do a jab, he wasn’t doing it very well, but this is uncalled for.

    Difficult job for gerrard,

Fans with expectations well above their station is a hard thing to overcome.

Less than 12 months, injuries to key players, not that great a squad but fans think they should be pushing for top 6.

On a hiding to nothing really.

I know people dismiss the title he won as only Scotland, but the rangers team where very very good that season. Celtic imploded because they new they where beaten ( remind anybody of a certain season).

I'm still fairly positive he will come good as a manager.

    Have to remember

    Pochettino
    Tuchel

That's who this lot are turning to and getting laughed at.

The delusion at villa is real.

Plus celtic didn't only implode at that point where rangers had it won. Lenton screwed the pooch.
