Boris will get things done - they may be the wrong things, but something will shift. This country has faffed about under a political cloud of fear since May took control. Time even for short-termism if it brings matters to a head. Things need to change for either good or bad in the short term because we've slid into an impasse that has made us look weak.

Boris is keeping his head down. Seems to me he knows it's his to lose. So he will only say things he knows will go down a storm with Tory Members. On anything else he will be just saying as little as possible to avoid dropping a clanger. May gave up the money before we knew the future deal because the EU refused to do it any other way. Can't see them doing a u-turn now. So if Boris really means it we will have to leave on WTO rules and then negotiate. Always seemed the best way to get anything out of the EU to me anyway.
When you hear/listen to what some world leaders say it is not so RR ….. MOST COMMENT THAT SHE HAD AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK … battling a obstinate self agenda opposition and members of other parties that wanted to boost their own ego's
Well she certainly buckled very easy to the outsider looking in,Imagine Maggie in charge they would have been eating out of her hands. We can do so much better dealing on WTO terms around the world.
It seems the information coming from the Macron direction was more remoaners waffle, more project fear ~ Britain not paying Brexit bill would not be default, S&P, Fitch say https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-b...uld-not-be-default-sp-fitch-say-idUKKCN1TB1BI
No. We can't. Theoretically we could do so with trade deals, as you Brexiteers keep saying. But not on WTO terms. Almost mathematically.
Exactly. With trade deals we could theoretically do better. But just on WTO (i.e. no trade deals) we can't. I'd encourage you to look at what WTO entails.
I shudder to think what Maggie would've thought about the way Theresa May dealt with the EU. They told her how it had to be done and she rolled over. Everything they demanded she agreed to. Maggie would never have agreed to paying them first before even starting to discuss the terms of the future arrangements. That was when May should've stood up to them. Right at the very beginning. Once she rolled over on that it was always going to be a car crash. I agree the real villain was Cameron who walked away and left a mess. I have no sympathy for TM as I can't imagine how anyone could've done a worse job of it then she did. No conviction, no ideas of her own. Just constantly appeasing everyone. Good riddance I say.
