Athletico are always skint. Perhaps we should test their resolve for Simeone. Alternatively with his connections a Roma, could Baldini prize Garcia away from them.

When the PL started the big five were ManU Liverpool Everton Arsenal and Spurs.

Everton and Spurs made the mistake of being crap when the CL expanded and that changed the odds so much we've never really recovered. Now that City and Chelsea are being bankrolled with unlimited funds we will likely be be fighting for 6th and 7th with Everton for years now. Our only chance is a genius manager For a while I thought it was Redknapp; it now can't be AVB so fingers crossed for the next guy

The exact same reasons he had a high opinion of Santini, Ramos and AVB. He has no clue about football!

But he likes hiring people who failed in their previous job and handing them 100 million to work with a clueless manager.

.... I see your point Lol

Aren't Laudrup and AVB very similar?

In fact, Swansea are having the same problems as Spurs are this season. Very neat play and lot's of possession, but struggling to break teams down and they lack a real cutting edge and that's with Michu and Bony so it's not like they have bad players up top.

It's a hard one to call really, Levy should be opting for a manager who would get the best out of your midfield as that for me is your strong point. You have the squad, and with the right manager you could do a lot of damage.. But at this time of year is that man available?

Agreed. If they were to take charge for the rest of the season, they would have said so already. I expect an appointment by the weekend or middle of next at the latest. Merry Xmas! <steam>

  17. I've gone for Hiddink.

If he's truly available, then we've got to get him. It's really very simple.

I know Capello is favourite but after Harry's sacking Moyes and Martinez seemed the leading candidates so I'm not going with the favourite.

I have a feeling Levy will go for Hiddink and I hope he does. No brainer for me.

Everton fan in peace.Always had a soft spot for Spurs since the Ossie and Ricky days.

But ironically the perfect man for the job would be our manager. If he can get our squad playing the way he does it would frightening what he could do with your squad.Spurs will come good and will click eventually and when they do only Man city will be able to see which way you are going.

So that said, i wish your club all the best and i really hope you get an up and comer like Frank de Boer.
