It’s a serious question, really, I’m not taking the piss or attempting to provoke a response just for the sake of it, I genuinely want to know why some (it seems like quite a lot actually) Rangers fans think everyone is ganging up on them.

Do any of you genuinely think that it is ONLY Rangers who would be treated in such a way, do any of you think that Celtic, Hearts, Hibs et al would have been treated any differently or more leniently? Would the other SPL clubs - in your opinion - have voted to allow anyone BUT Rangers into the SPL?

When I hear Rangers fans complain that they are being treated harshly they usually say that “We know we have done wrong…but” as if there is some mitigation. They also seem to think that because they personally (as fans) have done nothing wrong that the club as a whole should not be punished. Is that really a logical defence?

IF, in your opinion, Rangers are being treated too harshly or more vindictively than any other club would have been, why exactly do you think that is? What are the reasons?

They have been treated far better than anyone outwith Celtic and Rangers would have been. They have been allowed into Div3.

Like most people who kick someone when they are down, they do so because they know if they go toe to toe, they would get mauled.

No one likes us we don't care!

Well that's obviously not strictly true is it Medro?

You may not "care" personally, but unless i've imagined it, plenty of people including Ally McCoist and Sandy Jardine have said on record that people are kicking Rangers while they are down.

I'll put you down as "No further comment" seeing as how you are obvioulsy in denial.

It's impossible to say as the SPL didn't have a defined set of rules in place for a club going into liquidation. They therefore left themselves open to criticism that they're a bunch of bungling amateurs making up policy on the hoof. What I found hypocritical about the SPL was that, after all voting Rangers out, they then got their greasy mitts on Rangers broadcast rights. In addition, they also tried to pressurise the SFL into admitting Rangers into SFL1 in a bid to minimise the damage to themselves. For all their talk of sporting integrity, they were clearly driven by naked self-interest.

Well they did have precedents for liquidated clubs, but everything else you said was also done to HELP Sevco

Taking tv money etc is the price you pay for leapfrogging Spartans into Div 3 a whole 3 years before you're entitled to

    Pathetic.

One would question the timing of such a thread.

Rinsed in another thread so out comes the big stick, comfort blanket anyone?

And the comments/users back up my thoughts...

    Don't feed the trolls, bears...
