I still don't know what his point is. He must still be upset about United's failure in Europe v Spanish sides
After having his racist slur attempts squashed he went on to the manc board calling Liverpool fans murderers, classy chap indeed. He's got hate in him that lad
The FA have now stated that anyone singing it will be deemed racist, and have assured FARE that the individuals will be banned (true, they issued a statement on Friday thanking Powar for bringing it to their attention - even though they couldn't find any evidence it actually happened in the first place). So United's next home game should be interesting....
That's 'subtly' racist because it's the same tune as 'you know what you are'.... Well that's what Holt, Powar, Ouseley and the others will say. On a comments thread on the Mail about the FARE complaint, some gimp has actually said the bonfire song is racist because African American slaves in the Deep South were occasionally burned to death as a punisment. So even calling Rio camel-faced is probably 'subtly' racist too in that camels are African, or something so tenuous that even Powar hasn't thought of it - yet.
Hi, I happened onto this message forum this morning after Googling about Ferdiand, Di Canio, Bofire etc. I am a Liverpool fan and have an equal dislike for Chelsea and Man United. My question is, why do Chelsea dislike Rio so much? You're all spending so much time saying how much hate him and equal amounts of time not explaining why. I always assumed it was because of the links to the 'racist' case against Terry, in the same way that Evra gets stick at Anfield because of the links with the Suarez incident. Passing it off as anything else seems petty, you dislike him because he (quite rightly) argued against your Captain, yeh? As far as I'm aware he didn't get any stick at Stamford Bridge before this whole affair did he? Some people seem to want to distance themselves from any racist connotations and say it's just because 'he's a ****', these people need to explain exactly why they dislike him, either that or admit it's purely because of his position in the whole Terry/Anton situation. Oh and admitting this doesn't make you racist by the way...
Doubt you're a liverpool fan but i'll bite. In 2008 Rio kicked a Female steward after the Chelsea game. He says stupid moronic things as the court case between Anton and Terry is ongoing. The whole saga with ashley cole Complains when he wasn't in the England squad... Pulls out when he is Rio kicking a ball at his own fans
Ok. Good points and I happen to agree with you on those issues. But... Did the majority of Chelsea fans boo him before the Terry/Anton issue? My point is, isn't Chelsea's dislike of Ferdinand more to do with blind loyalty to Terry rather than those issues you pointed out in your reply. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that is right or wrong, I just think it needs to be acknowledged that most fans prejudices aren't to do with race, ethnicity, looks, morals or talent - 99% of the time it's all to do with whether they play for your team or not. Oh and I am a Liverpool fan. Got my ticket for your lot's visit to Anfield in a few weeks time all sorted - can't wait!
Probably not. Chelsea fans wouldn't of boo'd him if he stayed quiet between the whole Anton and Terry saga. It's okay to show support but using twitter to vent your frustrations is only going to antagonise the Chelsea supporters.
Yes we did, he has always been a camel lipped **** which he proved by putting money before country last week. A most reprehensible creature indeed and I'm pleased he got ****ed at the bridge.
it's no coincidence that the booing got worse after he called fellow footballer Ashley Cole a choc ice.
