Roughly translated to Arsenal happy to sell for 20 million, but because newcastle won't pay it another club will and he'll sign for them this summer.
Sounds about right. We'll just hoover up some crap from Sheff U or West Brom (all Fulham's players don't belong to them).
Brilliant example of why it really doesn't matter who the **** our manager is. We still have the same skinflint running the show... Although it is just paper talk. Which is nearly always made up/pure guesswork.
£20m is peanuts these days, if he's available for that we shouldn't be haggling like Del Boy trying to get him on tick
He will like, he'll throw in a Sports Direct mug if they start playing hardball, maybe even a Lonsdale vest
£20M If a pipe burst in the NUFC offices the staff would be walking around on soggy carpets for upwards of 2 months. Then Ashley would just buy laminate flooring as opposed to getting the plumbers in. 20M
In this case 20m is a bargain. Weird they would value him so low. Now (I can’t believe I am saying this) it is probably good business to try and loan. Takeover aside the club will have potentially lost out on about 20-40m in match day revenue. Because the commercial income stream is virtually none existent under Ashley the club is already threadbare and recent relegations have meant there are no reserves. The last accounts (June 19) pre Covid had us at 35m profit (due to player sales) and that was to get us back to reserves of 8m. I appreciate this isn’t cashflow mind. But cashflow is even more worrying looking at the accounts. Our net assets (cash available in the short term under 1 year) at the time was 38m. Sounds good right! But that’s before you factor in Joelinton (40m) ASM (20m) Wilson (20m) and Lewis (10m). Less Perez (30m): A net hit of 60m. Expect players sales at the end of this season without a takeover. There is no money to buy players.
Possibly ASM we could get upwards of £50m which would be a huge boost to the balance sheet. No good for a us fans mind. £20m for Wilson? It’s not worth selling him! £35m for Miggy maybe. Without a takeover it will HAVE to be player sales. And your right, the Joelinton deal at £40m will buy him off. Cannot believe he actually allowed that transfer.
I don't think almiron will sell.. He's not been used correctly and I think he's unlikely to fetch any profit. Max will go for about 40 to 50 and they'll invest about half that on 2 players, plus a loan or 2
