No apologies needed here. I'm normally the most positive person you'll find (behind Nigel) and this lockdown has got to me a bit. Bear in mind I work from home anyway and 'never leave the house anyway' (if you talk to people that know me) so apparently I shouldn't be affected. I think it is the weather too, Spring is coming soon, we'll all get a bit more vitamin D from the sun and we'll have a FA Cup Final to look forward to And, yes. Great result....Que Sera Sera....
Whilst as a Bournemouthonian I like the sentiment that we 'relegated them', I think the issue is plain to see that they should have done better in the other 37 games to stand a chance.
It's good to see how positive people are on here today. It's a distinct contrast to how many people were posting last night when we were (apparently) toothless, terrified and ****. Not every shot goes in; not every pass meets its target; players have momentary lapses of concentration; not everyone is as perfect as the person in the stands. We were generating plenty of good chances. Sometimes even Aguero misses a good chance. If we're creating chances more than our opponents we'll normally win. We very clearly were. They mustered one shot on target in 90 minutes yet you'd have thought our backs were against the wall. What I saw last night was a pretty run of the mill, comfortable win. And I'm expecting the same against Bournemouth. Chill. Vin
Yes, I got the reference. Still hardly cause for merriment, after our recent experiences, and I include last night’s decision in our favour.
VAR worked perfectly last night. Did what it was designed to do - overturn the obviously incorrect decisions.
At least Ings was onside for legitimate reason last night, not because the oppositions hand was playing him on.
