Cuti himself has said that he's peed off with the niggling injury that's plagued him all season

meanwhile, Man Utd fans are acting like Lisandro Martinez starting last night is the sole reason Argentina won

The solution is obvious: Martinez can get the crap kicked out of him in CONMEBOL qualifiers in Romero's place

You’re missing the point, I’m not saying him being injured is his fault but the fact remains he’s injured a lot and it’s a worry because he misses far too many games for Spurs.

You may be able to precisely quantify this by analytics
on which 'capacity' (club, country) he is injured, whether
an injury of a certain severity is followed by a worse
injury (dimensioned by 'capacity' etc) .

So is Harry Kane, but that little factoid always gets omitted whenever talking about the injury history of our squad

Kane plays a lot more games for Spurs than Romero

Kane has a demonstrable track record of missing chunks of a season through injury

Anyone else seeing a parallel between Scotland in 1998 and Wales in 2022?

Scotland's plan was to keep it respectable against Brazil, get something from Norway and beat Morocco - only to lose 3-0 to Morocco, leaving them with just the one point against Norway
Wales' seems to be get something from USA and beat Iran so the England game would be the bonus...only to lose 2-0 to Iran

Belgium looking 2nd best to Morocco and now 1 down...
An aging team that is probably past its sell-by date <doh>

Morocco actually have a very decent first XI. Some really top level individuals.

I think the improving quality of world football is very apparent in this World Cup. All the games are tough now apart ironically from playing Quatar that is. :emoticon-0136-giggl

The game is so much more global, with top players from so many nations playing in the top leagues. It's balancing out the country rankings

This has definitely been one of the best World Cups for upsets so early on in my opinion. Been some very strong performances from unexpected sides.

Belgium were lucky against Canada so this wasn't totally unexpected. I think Canada can give a similarly aging Croatian team a good game as well, this group very much up for grabs.

The golden generation of Belgians looked decidedly dull and over the hill , I saw at the start of this tournament spurs fans on SM moaning that Toby and Jan were still good enough for us
