Ffs, that's one great chance gone. Pressure overcame Selby on that brown and now it's getting seriously Elvis leg movement time. Surely Allen can't win 7 straight frames ffs. Sort it out Selby

 

This is ****ing sick now. Selby's arse has totally gone. 5 chances spurned and now his head is mangled. Allen believes now and can't see Selby winning it now. Ffs illness lol

At last ! Thank **** for that. Have to improve alot to beat Brecel, a bigger clash of styles you couldn't imagine.

 

Brecel likes a comeback, Monday could be a late one as well.

 

Can see Selby being knackered tomorrow and Brecel taking a lead. After a good kip tomorrow night, Selby will then go into supergrind and hopefully wear Brecel down.

 

Turned off and went to sleep as it was so boring.

Having won it 4 times and Brucel being a first time finalist, I expect Selby to clinch his 5th world title.

As predicted Selby playing very poorly and obviously tired from last night. 5-3 down wouldn't have been the worst but 6-2 against someone playing with Brecel's confidence is a big ask
Everything coming off for Brecel and doesn't look like missing when in the balls. Gonna take a monumental effort for Selby to turn this round but has to not fall further behind tonight. He also has to improve dramatically on what he's shown so far, unfortunately he doesn't seem to have the confidence to do so. Has to start scoring and try to get Brecel out of his comfort zone !

 

Here comes Selby. Has upped his game and looks a bit more refreshed. Brecel made a couple of unforced errors and Selby has taken them. That last frame was massive, gap only 2 frames now instead of 4 !

 

Selby is the Peter Ebdon for the 21st century. Killingly dull.

 

What a session of snooker ! Incredible stuff. Selby takes the last 3 frames including a maximum to only trail 9-8. Brecel was playing great but missed a couple of crucial pots, Selby is just granite. He'll be buzzing to have made the 1st max ever in the final and to only be 1 behind. Get a good kip tonight and grind it out tomorrow. If Brecel can keep potting them off the lampshades, then all power to him. How will he do when the massive pressure comes on tomorrow night ?

Fantastic stuff from Selby.
First ever 147 in the final.
Steve Davis said a few days ago that a lot of the public view Selby as lacking in ability, which, he said, was just ridiculous.
No one wins the world title 4 times and gets to the final 6 times without being one of the all time greats.

 

He has incredible skill but is exceedingly dull to watch. That doesn't make him a great in my eyes.

 

His record makes him a great.
My favourite player ever was Alex Higgins, who was fantastic to watch, but he's not an all time great.
Selby is pragmatic and plays the percentages more than most, but at his best is an enjoyable player to watch imo.
It's not all about crashing the balls into the pockets.

 

What an achievement making a 147 on that stage. Huge.
