Yep.Putin should be bricking it. They will finish him off from the inside. It will be a little pill slipped into his bedtime coco by one of his most 'trusted' people. Personally I'd prefer to see his brains splattered all over the Kremlin very publically but heyho I've seen enough videos of death on Twitter, one more won't matter too much if it brings an end to this.
Today, I read that Finland has formally become part of NATO. This has happened as a direct response, by Finland, to the invasion of Ukraine. Sweden are next in line to join. One of the reasons given at the start was that Russia (Putin), was concerned that Ukraine would join NATO, tightening the ring of Western Countries that surround Russia. The war continues. Russia's Army has been shown to be in a very poor state of preparedness and the ring has tightened further, and is likely to get even tighter. Russia's trade with The West has been decimated. And later today, Donald appears in Court in The good ol US of A. This may be the best day of the year, SO FAR.
It's good to hear, but it is missile range that is the thing that is the problem - Russia has long range fire and forget missiles that massively out-range anything Ukrainian pilots have access to. Unless Ukraine gets planes that can fire meteor or extended range AMRAAM then their airforce is pretty much on a hiding to nothing.
Well this is going to go down like a ****ed lift in Moscow…although I’m sure they already had a sneaky suspicion there would be special forces in Ukrainian https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-65245065
There's **** all they can do about it, frankly. Plus NATO can simply say 'we'll withdraw from this third party country when you do'
The only thing surprising in those leaked documents is the fact Ukraine may run out of its main type of AA munitions within the next month. They need those ASAP. Nothing else is surprising. Even the details about the counter offensive can be changed and used to keep the Russians guessing
Every time I hear about these document leaks my mind automatically thinks 'Operation Mincemeat' and 'Operation Fortitude'
Interesting spot on Flightradar over the Black Sea - RAF Rivet Joint ELINT plane escorted by 2 Typhoons who flew out to SE of Crimea then first the Typhoons followed a few minutes later by the Rivet Joint switch their transponders off. All under radar cover from an Italian Gulfstream AWACS plane flying over the Romanian coast.
Just been reading Russian ships disguised as fishing boats etc. Have been in the North Sea mooching around various windfarms off our coast and scandanavia.
