Well I haven't a clue and neither have the bookies. Various bookies have 8 different acts at 8/1 or less. Favourites are swapping places and although one bookie has a clear fav at 7/2, the same act is readily available at 5/1. I haven't seen one act that I could predict with any confidence will reach the final, let alone win. Clearly this is a mediocre year with plenty of "quite good" acts but nothing outstanding.

Hopefully, someone will emerge; I hate not being able to spot someone with potential. I guess the "hand picked" contestant Jay James, who apparently has already recorded, will do OK as will the new boy band Overload. I'll have to see what they can offer later before I commit, if at all.

I like that girl Stephanie who was in a band that made the final of BGT - she's brilliant. Her problems will be that a) she's likeable but perhaps nothing more than that and b) she isn't from the North East so won't get the necessary support from her mentor.

This stupid 6 chair procedure has turned the X Factor into a farce. They should just see all the acts and then decide which 6 they want.

Still feel this is a mediocre year with no-one standing out. The fact that Andrea Faustini has emerged as clear 2/1 fav says it all. At this stage I would think that Ben Haenow would be much better value at 6/1. But I'm still reserving judgement as, so far, I am completely underwhelmed by the standard this year

I reckon I've found a good bet. Andrea Faustini is quoted from 15/8 to 9/4. That to me is a sound LAY bet.

A little disappointed with Ben Haenow tonight but I do like him. I think he should try an Enrique Iglesias

Corals have Fleur East at 40/1. She won't win but I'm going to steal some more money from Coral by laying her off soon.

Unbelievable Corals now down to 10/1. Less than 15mins ago they were 40/1. They haven't a clue.

Oh dear my lay bet didn't f** up. That has me slightly worried. But I took the risk and at those odds I can't lose much. I'll just wait for him to drift out beyond 2/1 and cover the bet. In fact he's 2/1 with some so I'll cover most of it now and hope to make a small profit when he drifts out further.

The 2/1 has gone on Andrea Faustin so just as well I mostly covered my lay bet. One bad performance and he will drift.

Lauren Platt now down to 11/4 with Coral, best price 7/2
Ben Haenow down to 9/2, best price 11/2
Coral have dropped Fleur East another point to 9/1 but available at 14/1. But already laid her off at 10s last week from 40/1.
Quite like ben H but at 11/2 is no price.
The 10/1 Lauren Platt was a good bet. As said last week when 10/1 she should be fav.
The Italian is now on the drift as expected (9/4 with Coral). He'll have to pull out something special to remain fav for much longer

CH did you get on your fav last week at 25/1? Backed down to a best price 16/1 after a decent performance tonight

****. Chloe can not sing. She has missed so many notes it is embarrassing. The group will need to be atrocious for her to stay in. Not that I'm keen on an 8 piece boy band.
