Obviously no one is sad to see him elave, hopefully he will be the last of our big money signings that deliver nothing. However, I think it's hars his contract has been terminated. He didn't misbehave and yet Ranger is still on the pay roll. Terminate his as well (or should that be him as well).

Noooo how can this be? Finding out we've been dumped via a website like this makes it all the more painful. Not even so much as a phone call or a farewell note. <wah> <wah>

a good player shame he never really got a chance. when he played for our first team he looked dangerous and certainly deserved more playing time. i think i heard if he played another first team game a clause ment we would have to stump up a few mil to his former club? its a shame he was brought here under the circumstances he was. i feel sorry for the lad coming here, although he earnt a bit of cash, it has probably done irriversable damage to waht looked like a promising career

Come on now, how could we let Shola go for Iniesta? Who would get our goals against the Mackem's?

    Xis-gone.

Newcastle confirmed on Thursday night that Xisco had terminated his SJP contract, exiting SJP four and a half years after arriving from Deportivo la Coruna in a £5.7m deal. He leaves with a bucket of money, some new tattoos and a Northumberland Senior Cup winners medal.

    Thank you Dennis Wise.

The 26 year-old striker became a free agent and promptly joined Spanish Second Division side Cordoba for the remainder of the current season.

Xisco was a sublime playmaker for us when he played. We will never forget what he did for the club during his time here. Labelled the next Albert Luque, Xisco arrived on Tyneside with a reputation as a skilful attacking player and definitely justified his £5.7m price tag with a defence-splitting through ball to set up Amy in our 6-0 demolition of the Vile. Losing Xisco this transfer window, with his replacement Iniesta's swap deal with Shola falling through, has left us with a big hole up front.

Let's hope this doesn't hurt us in the long run <yikes>

With all our new signings Ashley has take a fair hit on the wage bill! Getting Xisco off the books has certainly helped this. Should have gone ages ago IMO
