Yeovil who are in the Div One play-offs have a long injury list at present.......needing one more point for a more favourable play-off draw Gary Johnson it is suggested was on the verge of recalling Reuban Reid.

This was averted by Angelo Balanta passing a fitness test on Thursday.......even so Yeovil will have only four subs on the bench for Saturdays match against Bury.

That would have meant that three of our loanees would have been lost to recalls or injury in these final few important games to save our league status.....you would seriously think that we had upset the football four leaf clover brigade once too often.

I expect after Saturday when Reid returns to Yeovil he has the chance of playing in the play-offs........and the chance of Wembley.

Small chance maybe but he would hardly be out on loan if he was upper most in the Manager's plans. If anything he is more likely to be at a new club come kick off next season. And yes we have obviously more than upset the football god whoever she is.

With our luck..... no way he will be recalled!! Better off with Harvey, Lecointe, AN Other upfront, personally am fed up to the back teeth with these team playing strikers. For us this season I would have taken Bantons lazy goal scoring arse above anything else we have had upfront. This obsetionwith team contribution of strikers leaves me for dead tbh.
This fixation with what else he brings to the team is great for top clubs with a resource of riches but for us mere mortals we need a goal mooching lazy barsteward. Applying the current logic Hurst, Greaves. MacDonald, Keegan, Linekar, Shearer, Bull, Tommy T.... etc would have never have got a game. There are 11 players in a team and if 1 of those could not tackle the skin off a rice pudding but scored 30 a season then that is job done. In the English game there is too much emphasis put on the all round game, Messi is picked because of his sheilding of the midfield...NOT The Ronaldo Winkers cover of the fullbacks is his best quality.. The Germans have showed in the last couple of games how it should be played 7 or 8 tightly organised as defensive and 3 to 4 attack as for Ledowoski(spelling) guy did nothing all game except score...bloody useless. At a junior level that is where we are failing there is too much focus on the defend from the front aspect and hold up play over smack in 60 this season son.

Spot on mexijan.........bring back BWP.......doesn't support defence AND a dodgy knee..........and that scared Reading away......played half a season and scored 13 goals......you'll have to think hard to remember the last player to score that many.

Ps.......is not606 taking longer too respond or is it just me ?
