Once again there is no substance to this story, it's pure speculation. There are many books out there but having just read Bellamy I'd recommend it as a good insight on this rubbish. Mainly agents putting it around to generate interest. We're a really easy touch to throw in the hat based on our recent history and spending. I won't be losing a moments sleep, criticising the club, moaning about policy or getting over excited unless I see it directly quoted from official sources or club staff. Simples!
The fact that we aren't linked with young exciting players speaks volumes. we are known as the club to go to for one last big pay day and for good reason and that's why agents of old **** players constantly put their clients in stories saying they are wanted by us.
Doesn't anybody think that all these players are linked with the club because of a combination of lazy journalists making up their own stories, e.g. Lampard is Redknapp's nephew, so it could happen, Ferdinand & Cole played for Redknapp when they were still in nappies, so it could happen, and agents chucking out the chummy into the sea to attract the fish? By all means have an opinion as to whether certain players would be right for the club, but for pity's sake don't criticise Redknapp or the club for signings that they haven't made. It's madness.
If it were true though, despite his age, he would do a job for a couple of seasons in Premier League. A lot of Fantasy Football teams gained massive and regular points by having him in their side last season.
