yesterday a young Motherwell fan was ejected from Fir Park for an offensive banner that he held up directed towards Rangers fans saying "We got the law..and he hates the huns!" please log in to view this image It was unclear what action was taken against the lad after he was removed but will the police be doing the same against older fans at more high profile games?
it was a banner against rangers fans so he will walk away with a warning. if it had been against celtic fans he would have got 10 years for a sectarian crime.
Firstly, Secondly, you're singing from a different hymn sheet to Medro. The banner wasn't aimed at Rangers fans, it was aimed at protestants - Anglicans, Unitarians, the lot. And, should they enforce (sic) the same rules at the next Old Firm game, I don't see any problems. Why would there be? Why get your knickers in a twist about this? And lastly, Medro, can we assume that this little boy isn't a protestant and doesn't attend a non-denominational school?
If the police are going to eject people for using the word hun then I think they should at least warn people. It's all getting very silly. I blame Lennon for this sillyness.
Seems like things have gone too far to me, it will be 6 years for saying Jesus ****ing Christ their are people commiting real crimes and getting away with it.
Welcome to Scotland 2011. I'll say it again - "OFFENSIVE" saying/phrases will result in banning orders/jail time. Not only sectarian phrases. "Let's all laugh at Celtic, lets all laugh at Celtic" - NEE NAW NEE NAW "Come with me sir" "Aw -cmoan tae **** mate" "Don't call me mate" *HUCKLED*
Wait a minute Stereo - his pal will have been at the game and have seen the offending banner no doubt. Although how his pal will have seen it sepite being no further than 5 meters away from Neil Lennon is still a mystery
Medro your original post stated "that HE had held up" you then posted a picture showing the banner/placard but the boy holding up the banner looks nothing like the boy who is being led away. Are you saying the police arrested the boy but left the banner? If you actualy read the original post as supplied by stereo the wording states ALLEGEDLY. Please when posting at least try and tell the truth or as close as possible as you can get to it. You may not realise but your interpration of the truth could result in injury or worse to the innocent
What by delibrately or otherwise misquiting the actual story? Not have proven facts ie "That held up a Banner/placard" then showing the banner/placard being held by someone completely different please see previous post
