Barcelona seem to have done fine for the last 10 years or so with a small Lionel Messi and a squad that is not a whole lot taller. Unless someone wants to provide an average height that dispels that theory.
barcelona play in spanish league , the championship is very different , messi would have been hacked down trying to do fancy footwork in championship
certainly is were chasing an unknown who has not scored in 10 matches in french league and loaning him but if we end up buying him it will cost 10.9 million , could buy a decent player in championship for that
i agree but they were top players todays price for them would be about 50 million this owner is looking into the cupboard and its bare , but he could at least get a 6ft striker , whats happening nowadays is it the incredable shrinking man down at hellend road ha ha they need some growing pills in their food either that or a step ladder in the penalty box ha ha
how leeds expect these small players to be 1st to the ball with crosses into the box i dont know unless they poke opposition defender in the belly button when a cross comes in i dont think they are going to be first to the ball
bobby collins was midfielder , billy bremner midfielder , jonny giles midfielder , brian flynn midfielder , gordon strachan midfielder none of these were strikers therefore height does not matter as much a striker needs to be tall for crosses and corners and free kicks into the box , im not too struck on augustin either he is 5ft 8 inches and has not scored in 10 matches for his new club if he comes to elland road we need him scoring straight away he might take ages to get into it , we need a striker familiar with the championship
Mo Salah is only 5ft 9inches (1.75m) and he doesn't do too bad for a short arse. In fact the average height of the Man City team last year was approx 1.8m and they did ok And I understand what you mean about having Championship experience but the top scorer in the Championship last year had never played in the Championship before, but that could have been one of those exceptions to the rule
You didn't say strikers in your original comment you did mention our new signing who is an attacking midfield/winger..
Barcelona, apart from the goalkeeper and CB's, their players have always been around the 4ft 6 inch mark and they've done quite well
sorry for the confusion, yes its a tall striker we need who knows the championship , leeds are after buying a striker in augustin that has not scored in 10 matches in french league and is 5ft 8 inches im not struck on him and leeds will need him to start scoring straight away we need at least 12 goals from him before end of season he might not even score in first 12 matches by that time its too late , we need an experienced championship player not someone not scoring in french league he will come on loan but end of season when its too late he will cost 10.9 milllion to buy if we go up
dweight gayle was the one we needed he is injured at moment but has the experience of the championship , bowan might do it if hull let him go for a decent fee , 1.75 metres
4ft f.ck 6 inch supporters wont be able to see them soon they are that small , might as well get a small grey alien playing it would zap the ball into the net with its lazer gun , cause there is no way it would head the ball in at 4ft 6 inch
HERE HE COMES all 5ft 8 inches of him is he the messiah leeds fans have been waiting for ? https://www.leedsunited.com/news/te...u2t6v703&time=0&vid=i4mlyywish9q1of7yed8bhrsm
i hope he settles in quick as leeds need goals straight away he did score many goals before joining i think it is leipzig but then not scored but he does score goals its wether he can perform in championship which as we know if difficult
Antoine Griezmann: 5.7 feet (1.75 meters) Gabriel Jesus: 5.7 feet (1.75 meters) Sergio “Kun” Aguero: 5.6 feet (1.73 meters)
