    Chaps,
I've slightly mellowed my view on the rotund one recently and would be interested to gauge your view at this present time.....

here's a poll to make things relatively easy.....

    Cheers

I have never thuoght he was as bad some have made out - yes made a few mistakes (and a big clanger) as well as lied his arse off at the beginning but I do believe he has set fairly solid foundations for the club

The clubs better than it has been for quite some time. If he was as bad as some people say we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are now

He is of course by no means perfect and still has quite a lot of room to improve

I've gone for improved, however that's based on the teams performace so far. It's usually when I feel this way that he applies the lubricant.

Remained the same. I've never seen him as the Satan caricature that many others have and I haven't seen any reason for this opinion to deteriorate or improve recently. He's doing with the club exactly as he has always intended to; we looking as though we're headed for better financial stability coupled with a long and maybe frustrating crawl up the table as we're treated like the sort of discount, lowbrow business he is used to running. It's better than the gung-ho, cigar chomping, sackful of money burning, snakes and ladders approach to football that we had in the late 90s and 00s.

If Ashley gets rid of Llambias and replaces him with somebody who isn't an arrogant simpleton then my opinion of him will improve.

Remained the same. The finances have improved dramatically but the PR is atrocious.

Improved nut I still think he is ambitionless and will only go so far (mid table mediocrity)

He's a good business man, it's just a pity he came into the game without knowing anything about it.

Mort leaving didn't help matters either.

    Landed us with Llambiarse.

Difficult to answer without a timeframe. I'm taking it as since he took over rather than just over the last year or so.

I've gone for improved. I think the financial structuring he has put in place is the best thing to happen to the club for ages and I feel the club is safe for the first time in ages. So that is definite improvement.

The PR side is marginally better than the early days. He has undone alot of good will with the stadium renaming (which I actually think is inevitable so I don't take it too badly) but other than that has improved since the beginning when he seemed to drop a glanger every week. So minor improvement there.

He also seems to be leaving footballing matters to Pardew and Co so no change there.

    Overall - Steady Improvement.

Because it was obvious that if we had continued with Freddie that we would be under freefall and in administration and if I'm honest I think that we would have ended up in League 1 or at best straggling the lower half of the Championship ala Portsmouth.

I agree he's a knob for the name change but like Donkey Toon has said I think even that was inevitable
