Good 5-0 win for the U21s at Newport County in the EFL Trophy: Omotoye hat trick, another by Matthew Dennis and a penalty converted by Josh Martin. You'd think Omotoye would be MotM, but not so according to Dave Freezer: "Strangely enough, despite this being an emphatic win, I'd say one of my man of the match contenders is centre-back Andrew Omobamidele, looked so composed, got through plenty of work, clearly comfortable with the ball at his feet too." All of the squad were U21 players and they've qualified for the next round with a game to spare. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/newport-county-v-norwich-city-u21s-updates-1-6871480
I liked the save by the Norwich keeper when he came out and smothered it when it was still only 1-0 it was good awareness of the situation and smothering the chance

Charlie Gilmour has been released. Surprised at that as he did well on loan last year. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city...-arsenal-midfielder-charlie-gilmour-1-6889681
Could be a strategic move to open up a path for a player they think will be better. The fact he did not get a loan move would indicate this could be so.
So a full senior call up. Work permit inbound? It's only highlights i've seen on his loan, but he looks like a real talent.
Now he has to decide who he wants to represent, US or Chile. I believe he can also play for Mexico, though I have not seen any interest posted about them trying to recruit him.
