I may aswell be the first to start this one off. He has been released by Norwich and is a very good Centre Back always plays well against us and He has experience of Promotions. we have been linked with him prior to him signing for Norwich. Would be a welcome addition. YWBK
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...an-Reading-Saints-trailing-Zak-Whitbread.html seems like he refused a new contract, count us out sadly.
Remember he was brilliant at Millwall for that one year and I was really wanting him after then. Then he got injured, long-term. Then I am not sure he ever really got his place at Norwich. Can he get back the potential he showed, or is he as injury-prone as Woodgate? Not sure we can afford to have another long-term crock at the back using up our wages as in previous year - Kisnorbo, O'Brien, Bromby, Parker. Any more - did I forget any?
It's a real shame he hasn't signed a new contract. WHEN he's fit i rate him as one of the best CB's in the Prem, but there was talk a couple of months ago that O'NEIL tapped him up to Sunderland, better wages that we could offer to a player who has his fair share of the physio's time!
