Apparently Ibra and Rafa had a huge falling out when they were at Ajax. Could be an issue if they haven't made up? Ibra was accused of deliberately trying to injure Rafa in an International match?
What I know about him are some incredible highlight goals, and a total lack of success against anything even vaguely English. Honestly, I can't see him being happy on the bench, and I can't see dropping any starter for him. On the other hand, if Ade gets hurt, he could be a season saver.
Has everyone forgot about this! http://m24digital.com/en/2010/05/06/ibrahimovic-and-pique-in-an-unexpected-picture/
He doesnt do well against english sides? its not as though he plays against them week in week out is it? even toress doesnt do well against english sides yet we also have seen the Toress that was devestating week in week out againt english sides to be honest if he can be a sucess at Barcelona and Inter then im sure he has what it takes to adapt and then allow his skill to do the talking..his temprement however is a diffrent issue..i do think he is a bit of a prik as a person!
Cant see this happening myself but you never know, and with Pav almost certainly out of the door you would think we will be in for a replacement striker. I`d rather have Leandro or Rossi but they may be too expensive.
****erS!!! Q. I don't seem to be able to write a complete word in capitals...not because I'm an imbecile, it just won't have it. ...anyone got any ideas?
£175,000 PER WEEK?!? Forgive my naivety, but the same darn wages problem came up when we were being linked with Forlan, and has come up many times in the past. One thing I cannot get my head around is that players aged 30+ (e.g Forlan and Zlatan) , who are quite clearly coming to the ends of their career, expect to be paid the same salary (if not more) as when they were at their peak? It beggars belief! I read similar problems regarding Fatty McLampard and Drogba's seemingly likely moves away from Chavski- that "their wage demands are likely to be a problem". How do players at that stage of their respective careers possibly have 'wage demands'? Baffled, I am, totally baffled.
Its quite simple really. They are approaching the end to their careers. Once they hang up their boots, that is it. They will have to find a totally new form of work if they want to continue being employed. This form of work will earn them significantly less money than what they are currently on. Therefore, they want to maximise their earnings as much as they can even if it means it prevents them from moving to an attractive club and move to some sh*thole in Russia or China.
