I already said back in the match thread that you should have decisions more black and white as you can't easily read the mind of a player in many instances. Plenty of others have probably said the same in the past, people are very conservative in football though. The same with the obvious need for video instant replay checking of questioned goals. However I also said no hand should be allowed to score a goal and penalties should only be given where a very good goal scoring opportunity was prevented. Lame penalties are stupid and have players falling down nowhere near the goal to get them. Penalties should be a last resort rather than a first option for a player.
I agree, you look at other sports and the rules apply regardless of the players intention. In rugby contact with the head is a penalty, doesn't matter if you meant to knock his head off or he accidentally falls into you, the end result is the same, it clears up all confusion and saves the referee having to make a judgement about the players intent.
Never mind the hand ball, that could be seen as debatable, an interpretation of the rule, or he did not see it, fair enough but the Gibbs on Marković incident should have seen Gibbs sent off. No way did the referee not see it and the rule is clear so why did one of England's most respected referee's fail to follow the rule?
He obviously didn't see it as we saw it on the TV replays. What possible other explanation could there be? This idea that refs are bent is ridiculous. Try watching contentious incidents such as fouls and hand balls, at real time speed, even with the benefit of TV perspective, and see how many of 'em you get right.
Of course refs are bent. They are human. Or influenced by the crowd. Or by the top 6 club. He screwed up, then apologised then screwed up again so has done a runner. He has a **** name as well, tosser.
Wouldn't get me working there, a guy down our street who was working out there ended up in prison for being in a taxi that killed someone. They said he was guilty because he had told the taxi driver where to go, so it was his fault. Good luck to him. Hope he's tea total as well.
Not sure why anyone in their right mind would willingly choose to visit/live there.. The high salary just is not worth it in my opinion Not at all
Did you see Scott Mathieson's 'performance' when Swansea beat us to retain their league status? (May 2003) Probably not bent, certainly bottled. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
i dont think it's possible to have a fully neutral referee.. they are human and have emotions and the amount of they **** they take especially from the 'big'clubs for decisions a video referee would be better for all parties still find it so ridiculous that huge decisions are made by one man on the pitch who sees the incident in the blink of an eye.. with his view perhaps blocked by players etc its 2017 get the video ref involved, make it fairer for everyone
Depends where he is based, even to RIYADH where the FA is it is a 6 hour drive minimum or 10 hours if you live in Dubai
It is rather bigger than I thought, though if I lived in a dry country, I'd probably drive six hours for a couple of pints.
Good ref...Dodgy barnet.. His last ever game will be Arse v. HCAFC...He'll be membered for the cock-up..
Nowt to do with this post but used to be easy to see the uncensored comments on here. I'm a big boy and would prefer to read what people write without half the text of some being xxxxx. How do I get an uncensored text??
