While I agree that Hudd is in the form of his life ATM, they do have completely different roles. Hudd runs the game, Jake breaks it up. Southgate obviously feels he needs more options with "destructive" midfield. Shame for Harry, he needs to be brought in to the England squad soon. But big congratulations to Josh.
Yes, there was a period when he played and did not give all. We later found he had family issues and took drugs, which we sympathised with and he was forgiven and helped, but for a prolonged period he wasn't 100%. Do other players have family issues, who knows?
To me that's still giving 100%. Just that because of mental health/ being distracted, that was as good as he can give. .
Agree. Tom was been spoken about by many (for England) in his first season with us, as someone to play in front of the back four and spray it around. Many 'experts' thought he'd adapt well to that role. Dyer seems to have taken that position, though I think more to break up than start attacks. He wasn't able to sustain that level of performance, maybe because he was sussed and wasn't given time on the ball. I do think they'd have to change their style of play to suit him, as I thjnk SIlva has I still don't get the Harry thing. Defensively, I don't even think he's in our best three central defenders. While his 'forays' look good, how many times does it actually produce anything? Recently, he has got caught out doing so, is that cos opposition have got wise to him? I think his defensive qualities have massively improved this season and his 'forays' may work well at international level, but not ready yet. I guess he'll not be with us next year whatever, so wouldn't worry too much about him getting his head turned if was called up.
Mate of mine works for West Brom and he told me the other day that Livermore has been their best player since they signed him.
Of course one someone leaves they suddenly aren't thought a decent player anymore. Did he even demand to leave like Snodgrass?
Which is why we were so ****. He's **** we are ****. Simple. First season in PL, he plays well we stay up. Second season he plays ****e we get relegated. Last season in the championship, he's ****e most of the season, we struggle to get promoted. He comes good end of the season we piss the play off final in a one sided game. Games are won and lost in CM for the most part. Sure individual bits of brilliance do win games but for the most part... You losing Kante, you've struggled. Simple.
Those knob heads on sky sports news saying Livermore hasn't done enough for a call up, Huddlestone should be ahead and he's only got in because he's playing for a higher placed team.
Just catching some of WBA v Arsenal. Livermore has played 2 passes I don't think he did in the 4 years he was at Hull City..
Norwegian Football (on Twitter) is reporting that Henriksen has stayed to train with us and will not now be available for their upcoming game against Northern Ireland.
Hull City's Markus Henriksen sent home from Norway squad after being deemed unfit... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...deemed-unfit/story-30216089-detail/story.html
Good, 2 weeks solid training with us is much better for him. It's a shame he's lost some time through travelling.
I know some will react adversely but mention should be given of Liam Cooper being called up for Scotland.
