Don't watch Dr Who but I do find it satisfying to see the internet triggered, yet again, by the idea of a minor norm being challenged. It's too easy these days. More of this.
I honestly despair it's even a thing. Back in the 80s when I was rebelling against the system I was sure by the time I was in my 50s we'd be looking back on racism, sexism, homophobia etc thinking WTF why would anyone be fuelled by hate like that? I didn't get it then. I don't get it now. It's Dr Who ffs. A sci fi tv series. That said, back in the early days of the internet I never thought it would end up so mainstream and give a voice to every cockwomble alive. Was fun to be a nerd then
Yeah there's been a somewhat cringey renaissance amongst an amount of young people over the last few years online, but it's the same old ideas that are fundamentally flawed so it's slowing down already, and is called out immediately by anyone clever - quite rightly. Once this artificial hump is negotiated I believe it will be largely forgotten and the species will move on.
All to soon consensus will swing that StrongWomen writers wont be able to submit the 1st script as they'll be busy coccooning their statuses In bandying with the Stereotypes , (Men) to be taken seriously
