Who would literally JUMP at the chance, what with us having lost our current manager due to no money to spend and all that....

    Istanbull not Budapest <whistle>

I can't see him going to any other club in Prem. None of top teams will need a new manager, the teams just outside like Everton, Saints won't need one so only really looking at mid to lower and I can't see him going there as Newcastle as a bigger club than most in the league. If a top European side came in then maybe but I think his stint at Madrid may mean he needs a few more years to rebuild his rep before he gets another chance. Plus the whole family situation I think he'd rather stay in England and close by as they don't seem to be keen on moving.

He stuck with you guys when you went down, can't see any reason why now he's got you up, wouldn't stay with you.

We know you're not keen on Rafa but I doubt whether you'll get many supporters agreeing with your sack Rafa campaign!!!

I don't want to sack Rafa, I just don't think he will be staying. I just don't have the faith in Ashley that some have #sheep

I think he'll stay, personally I think we need between 5 and 8 really good 'purple' signings. These ****ers should never get near a black and white shirt again....unless they go out and buy one :-

    Anita
    Hanley
    Haidara
    Colback
    Diame
    Murphy

From the current squad the only sure fire players I would have in my starting 11 would be from the following :-

    Elliot
    Yedlin
    Clark
    Mbemba
Dummett (only because we don't have any other/better option...hopefully this will change in the summer).
    Shelvey
    Ritchie
    Mitro
    Gayle
    Perez

I suspect a selection of the crap will be retained as "squad players", as long as that doesn't include Diame and Colback I'll happy. They can seriously do one for me, and I'm very close to including Anita in that statement based on his shower of ****e showing last night. He should have been hauled off at half time....at the very latest !

Some foreign, EU-based rag has claimed Rafa has said there's a £70m budget.

    Maybe next year, Hank!

Imagine what Carr could do with 70m in France. An endless supply of French children for him to bum.

Ashley has to decide either to retain Rafa and go with his vision and the cost or fall back into the previous shape and bugger up things again, if he backs Rafa then Carr has to go this time.

Just posted we need to spend 70M-100M next year just to be safe and realized Carr managed to wax £90million and in the process get us relegated... how does that man have a job still?

Needs to be Rafa's signings next year.

    Thauvin - £15m
    Mitrovic - £15m
    Wijnaldum - £17m
    Shelvey - £13m
    Townsend - £13m
    Mbemba - £9m
    Saivet - £5m

Think it's about £3-5m net loss on transfers.

Shame relegation cost around £50m, mind....

Still to this day do not understand why we signed saivet. Baffles me.

I honestly think Rafa will stay and that we will spend what is needed. The issue I have is that Rafa has actually signed some duffers already.... Jesus games, lazaar, diame, sels, Hanley and I don't rate Atsu.

Ritchie, Gayle and Clarke where good signings. I'm undecided on yedlin. Murphy was good for the championship.

I know they (the duffers I mentioned) where bought for the championship but they didn't figure much.

I understand the options are limited mind.

But Carr should be relieved of duties.

We have to hope that Carr's not past it and that it's more that two things caught up with him. First, is everyone else in football. Second was Ashley being a complete scrooge (not saying we could have signed Aubameyang, but he was a target before he went to Dortmund). He (Carr) was the one finding a then-good Tiote, getting Cabaye for £4m, working on Wijnaldum, snapping up Ben Arfa for pennies. Thauvin and Saivet, though.... <facepalm>

Problem is Rafa hasn't covered himself in glory with his signings. His record needs a lot of work. I could have told you Ritchie, Clark and Gayle would be ok at this level. And I like Yedlin, he's a PL full back (IMO).

Hopefully with Rafa's experience and Carr's contacts, they can forge a decent path between them. If Carr presents list A, list B, list C and list Z, the hope now is with Rafa rather than Pards or Schteve that we will ONLY buy from A, rather than putting Z first and seeing what's in the bargain bin/lucky dip.
